[Applause] [Applause] [Applause] Minan very warm welcome to everybody who’s tuned to PTV world and watching this morning in a blink of an eye ladies and gentlemen we are at the 15th of RAM today happens to be the 15th Rosa Mubarak as well and ladies and gentlemen before I get started I think let me
Introduce my worthy co-host colleague you know a very well- learned person who’s always on top of a game as well ladies and Gentlemen let’s welcome is ha Sati hello haam alikum how are you feeling today waum asalam thank you so much sh for introducing me and since you
Mentioned that it is the 15th of Ramadan so half of the Ramadan has almost passed and uh it gives me also immense pleasure that alhamdulillah Allah subhana tala has given me this opportunity to observe the fasting season this year but also there’s a bit sadness that Ramadan is going because obviously we are
Experiencing a heightened sense of spirituality but Shazad I would like to ask you one question I’m sorry I’m taking a bit off uh but I what so if you were given an opportunity right so who would like who would you like to interact with in from the past you know
One personality who is a religious personality and one who is a political personality someone who is not probably in this world right all right so know so if one religious personality I would love to interact would probably be Dr isab you know because I I listen to him
Quite a lot and I find him very practical in terms of where he would always tell you that you know where the loops are and what mistakes do we make okay and the other personality political personality I think political personality I’m not going to go too way
Back as well but I guess that you know to kind of I I’ve always heard have this urge to kind of uh you know even okay you know there’s a background story to it number one so when I was in my school you know my principal came up to me and
She said that you know there’s this one amazing political figure coming to our school and we want you to present a bouquet to her so I was in the second grade or third grade and I was seriously not a confident child so what happened
Was that I ran away that day I was like Madam I cannot do that and what not so this this is still in my head and so who I would want to meet ladies and gentlemen would certainly be mut b b and uh you know she was the one who was
Actually coming to to our school on that occasion and I I ran away because I was too shy so I think from the past you know these two people Dr isar sa and then uh Ben and there’s one more as well you know which I always think about and
That is uh you know Khan you know so these are the three people I would have always wanted to he is not a political personality but I mean I mean he’s generally a personality what about you you know because usually when you ask these questions you want to answer them
Too yes yes so uh political personality I think I would like to meet Nelson Mandela because I’m really inspired by the way he has his own political struggle he was jailed for almost three decades so much so that entire technology has changed he did not know what existed outside and the moment he
Came outside from the jail he said that I’m going to forgive all of the people who have imprisoned me and I think that is um the character that is worth striving for because how can someone who has unjustly imprisoned you for the three decades so much so that you don’t
Know your entire family your kids are dying your parents have died your wife has passed away some wife have left uh but then again you are so steadfast in your political commitments that you say that I’m forgiving everyone so that is a character so that is a quality that is
Worth striving for and we are certainly going to talk about it in the coming segment and I think when it comes to religious personality I think hasz ali um is the one that I would like to meet because he has a personality that has
Been always I look up to him and he is such a beautiful qualities to have so he was the one who was amazing in the battlefield no one was able to subdue him right and his sword zulfakar but at the same time he has so much sympathy
And empathy in him so that’s a qualities that I don’t know how a person can have in in because and now because You’ mentioned and you’ve opened up my Horizon as well because I thought that you talking about Pakistan only so I think that you going back in time you
Probably K mhammad Ali J Lord mount beton and all of these people you know who actually kind of set the tone for us and if you are to go back back in time and if you are to wish for it I think Prophet muhamad sallu alai any day any
Day but ladies and gentlemen to get started obviously you know we asked you question just yesterday and we do have a winner for people who’ve been writing to us on our Twitter handles you know mine is BJ Shazad Khan hers isti so Ladi and gentlemen the question was that on which
Night was the Quran first revealed I guess that everybody knows it already it’s ladies and gentlemen so you know for the winner you know who actually wrote to us the first correct answer well everybody knew about it first of all you know we gotten a lot of answers
As well ladies and gentlemen the winner happens to be rul pindy and the name is Ali Shar so Alish Sher why thank you so much for writing to us and thank you so much for participating and this is all what we want for from our viewers and so
We have another question for today as well so let’s move on towards today’s question ladies and Gentlemen let’s take a look what are we going to ask today from all of those amazing people who are out there and are tuned into PTV world what is the virtue of reciting ayat
Before going to the bed at night to sleep what is the virtue of reciting aaty before going to the bed or going to bed at night to sleep ladies and gentlemen this is a simple question you can write to us on our Twitter handles and there’s one thing which I know and
That is that you know as soon as you get done with your prayers and you pray you know so whenever whenever you know you will be leaving this planet ladies and gentlemen or we pass by ladies and gentlemen I think what they say is that
You will be in Jenna I think that’s the next thing that after every prayer ladies and Gentlemen please make sure that you recite but what is the virtue of uh you know reciting ayat before going to the bed that’s the question do write to us on our Twitter handles
Without any further Ado where hajra actually kind of pinpointed towards sympathy how to kind of attain that very characteristic in your personality we will be talking about it the spirits are high obviously in the month of uh Ramadan as well you want to do the most because you know the benefits of
Manifolds as well so to talk about this we very lucky that I’ve been joined by one of the professors from my own University a university ladies and gentlemen he happens to be Professor Tarik hello alhamdulillah alhamdulillah alhamdulillah alhamdulillah and alongside him ladies and gentlemen we very lucky that we’ve
Been joined by as well and he happens to be Muhammad hello thank you so much for joining us wonderful to have you over here please yo Allah Was [Laughter] [Laughter] joh but ch Ch [Applause] Rock am mean Mean say Say Thank you so much B and thank you so much you know for you know this heightened level of spiritualism that we kind of experience over here right after this as well I think it was a beautiful Redemption because it increased our spirituality but now let’s talk about the sympathy because the concept of
Sympathy is as huge as this universe and Allah subhana tala it is the trait trait of Allah subhana tala the sympathy because he loves us no matter how much we sin he loves us no matter how we air and he loves us more than 70 times our mother and one of the reason
And despite the fact that we are M or we are not M so this is the biggest quality of Allah subhana tala and one of the reason why I mentioned and alluded to Nel Mandela was because he said that we are with the Palestinian peoples in our struggle against the anti- colonialism
And I think we see that that is why South Africa is taking the lead in the Gaza so Professor s when we are talking about sympathy and when we talk about this concept right so we see that in Ramadan lot of people they are going undergoing through a lots of uh what do
You call mental struggles or maybe generally struggles in their life right but they are shying out there and they are not putting it out there so when we talk about the concept of sympathy how much do you think it is important that we look after our community because nowadays there’s this concept Shazad
That people say that do not be intrusive you know do not intrude in other person’s personalities or other person’s matters but how much do you think as a sympathetic person we need to look after and what is the tradition of Sunnah in this regard The Virtue the characteristic of
Uh sympathy it is something which is one of the very foundational Stone of Islamic civilization uh when we see the Islamic State of Madina where holy prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam after migration he developed a society on the concept of benevolence on the concept of uh uh spending in the way of Allah on
The the concept of mutual cooperation and on the concept of you see loving to one another so this is something which is very basic tenet of Islam and Islam encourages us just to go for such type of Cooperative attitudes consolatory attitude towards rest of the humanity as
Well as the Muslim Community that it should become the part and parcel of your personality when we see the holy prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam when he migrated to Madina you know almost hundreds of people people those was those who were the immigrants those who left their properties their business
Their relatives their houses everything in Makkah for the sake of Islam when they arrived in Madina this concept a new idea which holy prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam practiced it and then entered these people into the bond of Brotherhood and fraternity and that was a beautiful example that we can still
Have an excellent model in order to bring this Unity l and compassion and mutual understanding with each other that is the real model that H holy prophet sallallahu alhi wasallam has provided to us similarly when we see when holy prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam he migrated to Madina this is
Very important historical fact that comes in the books of s written on the holy prophet’s life his first speech after arrival in Medina the first Maiden speech as a head of the state you see it was consisting of Five Points sir and the one very important point that holy
Prophet Salli wasallam as you have rightly mentioned about Nelson Mandela and his attitude of forgiveness but look at the greatest character of the holy prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam basically all these inspiration they come through the holy prophet peace be upon Him true he has forgotten everything whatever has been happening
With him throughout 13 years whatever the people have been doing whatever everything but he was almost focusing on developing a society on sub Noble attit attitudes and one such quality that holy prophet Salli wasallam conveyed to the people of Madina it was the message of charity for the people those who were
Listening the holy prophet Sall alhi wasallam so it means that holy prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam wanted to establish a society that should be based on the concept of benevolence on the concept of generosity on the concept of sharing and caring to each other that was the concept thank you so much for
Mentioning the Society of Madina because here I would like to reiterate the fact Shaz that when holy prophet H Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam conquered the Makkah it was in the I think history of the humankind a singles big single biggest bloodless Revolution that occurred no blood was spilled and it was
Conquered and he pardoned everyone out there even his enemies because he was the prophet of Allah subhana wa ta’ala right so the and we’ve seen that lot of his sworn enemy then embraced Islam because of the sympathy because of his character right exactly and and over
Here ha you know I would love love to add over here so now you know so because we talking about sympathy let’s connect it with the system that you’ve just you know kind of shared you know so this was a system which was brought to life Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alai so
We’ve always heard that you know that this is a system of s and zakat now if we go back in time and if we look at the the calips and their tenur as well was there taxation or was there s and zakat and was that how the society was driven
Because now what happens is that you know Pakistan alhamdulillah ranks at number one in philanthropic activities people are always giving you know tells us that you know it’s better to be at the giving and rather than at receiving now what happens is that people are taking advantage of it too unfortunately
Some people you know it might be very generic statement and you know you can always go wrong unfortunately while kind of speaking of such a topic so to kind of maintain my lane and say that now a lot of people take advantage of it it’s Ramadan everybody wants to be
Sympathetic sometimes you forget your wallets at home they like 20 people around your car as soon as you start to eat and they all all of a sudden break lose onto your car and make you feel bad for whatever you eating now how do you think first you know was there taxation
Or was there only sadka and zakat and if there was s and zakat and people were giving s and zakat you know how do you think that the societies would reshaped because for anybody who who receiv received their s and zakat might not have probably be out there to kind of B
You know unfortunately or you know the other way around as well so what is your take from that to here uh when we look at the califate time period and their model of economic reforms yes we find out because it was the political system it was such a
Transparent system the imposition of the government and the rules it was so transparent that there was hardly a people who would come and just knock the door of the rulers just I am in need of something they were so caring about the needs and requirements of the people because they knew what responsibility
They are taking and finally they have to be answerable before Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala that was their practice and at that time of course the optional Charities patory types of sakar they were part and Parcels of individuals life but at the same time at state level this was the government that government
Was responsible just to make sure in order to provide socioeconomic Justice to was there taxation was there the coner of Zak only there was there was multiple basically uh sources of revenue generation one included that compulsory charity which is known as zakat of course you see those who are fulfilling
The level of NIS they were supposed just to pay back and in need if for example if there is a time of Crisis so this was the prerogative of the head of the state to impose certain additional taxes in order to bring the people out of that certain state of Devastation and hunger
And everything like that if the situations come back to the normal positions then of course you see there is no extra charges and additional taxes on for example whenever God forbid if it was a gazwa you know or you know Prophet Mad Al would ask abak
What you know they so there was a different system but now let’s link it with today’s time now this is 2 days ago you know I was somewhere in after and you know my cousin was traveling from abroad and he wanted to eat palow okay and we went for palow I unfortunately
Didn’t had my wallet with me and you know my cousin was sitting with me all of a sudden you deliberately forget no no no all of a sudden all of a sudden you know as soon as we were about to eat food there were 20 other people yes and
U you know obviously you feel like doing as much as you can but what they do is that they make you fall in guilt what do you think that in the light of the life of prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaih wasallam because Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam himself said that you know if
Somebody whenever a Sali comes to you please always make sure that they do not go back empty-handed now what do you think we need to do because I was already empty and then there was this guilt induced by those people look uh first of all we need to be very
Clear on this concept of optional charity okay it is optional it is not compulsory zakat is compulsory we are supposed under an obligation just to take certain amount of money for those people the category of the people that is mentioned in the Holy Quran seven or
Eight until the end there is a fixed Community they are mentioned in the Holy Quran that you have to take certain amount of money in the form of zakat and you have to pay to these people please please mention mention that as well you know for which starts from your family
And then to your friends of course you see then it is basically Islamic principles where you will start to give your compulsory charity so there is a principle the one who is closer in blood in relation in in everything you see he deserve your first of all he deserves
That he should be given this first first on number one it’s your parents no no no parents parents are always under the obligation of their childrens the children the son can never give this zakat money to the parents oh no obviously not zakat but charity what do
We call you know so how do we you know otherwise you see the parents they are it is becomes the duty of the children just to take care of the yes of course then family even then even then for example there is one Hadith of the holy prophet peace be upon
Him if you start giving sodaka to anybody anyone even he he says that if a husband is just giving one single yes moral to the wife as well with this intention then ultimately it will also be considered a biggest sir if in a hierarchy we have to jot it down we have
To write it down number one who do you think whenever we giving s or Zak who do you think was number one first of all you see your close family members they comes later your family your immediate family that is your your your your wife your childrens your
Siblings all these they become the first top priority if for example the people those who are earning and they are spending money for the uplifting of their family members in a way it will also be considered as Charity and they will be rewarded so whatever whatever
Amount you pay for S and zakat you know you know during the month of Ramadan or anywhere you know so you what you’re trying to say is that rather than giving it to anybody else you know we need to give it to our brothers and sisters
First and do we need to tell them that that’s charity I think what he’s trying to say is that s is different and zakat is different so for zakat there is a set parameter for example the reverts the converts who are the non Muslims they need our attention first of people who
Are W farers who are going in the Jihad and then the fuk the I mean the poor the destitute people so there is an entire seven category in the Quran which is mentioned but when we talk about uh sadka I think sadka can be given to
Anyone out there and obviously this is a famous English Maxim that the charity begins at home so make sure that and and I think when we talk about satka obviously arily you can help it I think the biggest s is your how you are dealing with your family members so you
Can be good and nice to people to The Strangers out there because you’re not interacting with them as much as with you are you with your family members and that is why there’s an entire Hadith of sallahu alaihi wasallam where he said that um perfect among amongst you is the
One who is good with his family members and there’s so much wisdom said in these words that I think in this age in this Century we’ll still uh feel the the gravity of those words but with that we will say thank you to Professor s for
Coming here for having thank you so much B for being with us and you know I’ve written it down as well because I still remember that I’ve read it somewhere so first of all obviously starts from your family then it’s your extended family then it’s your friends then it’s people
Who work for you and then to towards the end Allah says that you know even then if you left with something you can give in my name as well I think that’s that’s how this is obviously you know so zakat certainly you know there’s a parameter you know which Allah tells us Prophet
Muhammad Sall Alam tells us how to calculate it there’s an entire procedure we will be talking about it in inshah days to come but for now ladies and gentlemen we’re heading out towards a short break we’ll be talking about s and zakat you know obviously to make the
Lives of people better now ladies and gentlemen after a short break we will be in conversation with somebody who’s making sure that the world knows about Pakistan and that to in the best possible ways how is he doing that well that’s something we will be talking about after a short break good morning
Good morning thank you sir thank you sir [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] Welcome back and before going onto the break Shazad Luda to what sort of conversation we are going to have and obviously we are going to talk about the Pakistan’s perception and we’ve seen that Pakistan had suffered a lot when we talk about its image its perceptions unfortunately since the 911 attacks but
I think when the war on terror and its perception has been shed so there’s so much more to this country there’s such a beautiful tradition it has such a diverse landcapes it has such a diverse languages and not just the terrains but also the people because you find so much
Beauty in this diversity and I think Shazad has also experienced it from the north till the South we’ve seen how the culture changed we’ve seen how the atmosphere change how the season change and this is the beauty that I think now a lot of people especially from the West
They are keen and ready to explore because we have such sort of people on our Studios who are very interested in having this cross-pollination of ideas cross-pollination of the culture and also um the cross-pollination of the people out there uh because those universities were interested and obviously when we talk about the Asian
Communities when we talk about the Asian culture Pakistan stands out in that because we are the predecessor of one of the oldest civilization that is the IND civilization the Gandhara civilization that has contributed immensely to the humanity to explore this nuanced approach to what we call our blessed
Country Pakistan and how we can have a more nuanced approach to when we talk about the perception of Pakistan we are very glad that we have been joined by a very prestigious personalities who has so many feather to his Gap happens to be a social activist and international
Promoter of Pakistani Mr Imran sh hello sir asalam alikum good morning good morning morning thank you so much sir for joining us wonderful to have you over here and first things first and that is that you know whenever we talk about Pakistan ha has alluded how there’s a misperception as well so first
Of all let’s talk about you know what sort of a misperception do people in the west have and do you think pakistanis themselves have a very wrong idea of the country that they live in yes they do on both counts and uh let me um cite from
Real examples recently I was in Malaysia and Taiwan and Cambodia and I asked PhD Scholars over there are speaking at universities what do you think of Pakistan what do you think is the size of Pakistan and I was shocked to realize that the lowest first number they came
Up with was 3 million I said that’s the population of B that’s what they thought was the population I said no we need to go Dre come true right if you would like to have it yeah eventually after 15 guesses they made it up to 100 million I
Said let me stop you there how about 245 million okay and then the second question I always ask is when you think of Pakistan what’s the first image that comes into your mind and of course you know we can get sensitive about it but the first image always is about
Fundamentalism yeah extr terrorism extremism and then the Pakistani audience when I asked them I said where would you place Pakistan there’s some 200 countries in the world where would you place Pakistan top five top 10 bottom five and invariably I’ll get the answer when they’re honest with themselves they’ll say bottom five
Bottom 10% okay so that’s the image of the world and the image of pakistanis about themselves and then I always say okay let me now correct you first let’s try to get that 5% bottom figure straight I said that yes people think of that when they think of social
Indicators when they think of literacy they think of Maternal Child Health they look at Polio I said but I’m a development actor for 30 years 10 years right government right leadership right investment we can change that within 10 years mhm the factors that don’t change and I said I gauge Nations on four
Different factors number one size of the nation I said Pakistan is the fifth largest country in the world right now on the way to become the third largest in 15 years will be bigger than Continental Europe will be bigger than USA at 400 but in terms of population or
In terms of size though in in terms of population yeah is it a good is it a good sign it there’s plus and minus let me tell you that the size matters okay because 15 20 years ago India and China was even worse in per capita income than
Pakistan okay but people it’s a huge Market disposable income and even if it’s $1 per person per month it is a billion dollar to spend true right so size does matter it has its other issues but it’s and something that doesn’t change overnight so population we are
Five out of 10 military might I said matters Pakistan is the sixth largest country in the world I mean sixth largest military sorry and it is ranked in the top 10 said Russia the only Power that Russia was always associated with is the military might okay so military might matters I said number
Three the size of the economy even when we are totally destitute as we think we are right now Pakistan is still ranked as the 23rd largest economy of the world purchase power parody was it’s 1.7 trillion on the way in 15 years to be ranked as the 14th largest economy of
The world at 4 .5 trillion which will be the same size as Saudi Arabia UK and South Korea at that time or number four I said nuclear I said that’s a elite group of nine powers only Muslim nuclear country nobody else is joining anytime soon so I say let let
Me just do an average five plus 6 plus 23 plus 6 out of nine nuclear powers and I divide by four that gives me a 10 10 out of 200 makes me the top 5% of the Nations not the bottom 5% of the Nations but people need to realize that because
Our own image of ourselves but why do you think sir that we are suffering from such a low self-esteem as a nation what is contributing towards that I think one of the primary and fundamental reason is because how others uh want us to see ourselves so if we see lots of Hollywood
Pictures Hollywood drama Series in which they are projecting anyone who’s Pakistani he is a villain usually he’s engaged in a terroristic activities so how can we counter that narrative which is a very dominant narrative on the media which is dominated by the Western Country and Sir if you don’t mind sorry
I think that the answer is with me you know it’s lying over here so you know what what ajra has actually asked you know is is a very important question to be answered and imagine that you know when it’s not you answering yourself as a Pakistani but rather 40 heads of the
Mission taking pictures in then compiling it in a book I would want you to kind of said you know um give give a look to all of our viewers who are out there as well and answer the same question which azra has posed towards you yeah this is one small little way
This is the second edition and and since I’ve lived in five continents if you can show it to our audiences out there and what this book has basically done is to actually show I said to all my mission heads and Friends open give me pictures
Of Pakistan that the way you see it yeah not the way a Pakistani would say because anywhere I go and I say oh my beautiful country and they’ll say everybody will say oh yeah of course what else are you going to say but when 43 head of missions give pictures of
Pakistan and through their foreign offices since they are participating it goes through the embassies to the foreign offices and it becomes kind of a viral thing legitimacy yeah yes sure sure and I think this is also very sorry State of Affairs that when a Pakistani saying uh he’s not taken as a credible
Source but when someone from the embassy is so saying you know he’s taken more as a credible Source but sir when we talk about changing the perception what are the solutions that you bear in the mind and which you want to talk about to our audiences the first thing and first and
Foremost sure it took 40 50 years for us to arrive at this bad perceptions 1960s were almost like a first world nation at that time yes people used to take examples from us yes now once we have arrived at that we cannot fight it with emotional appeals go International press
Press no give facts okay you have to fight bad perceptions with facts not emotional appeals and let me give you some facts sure sure go ahead like I said Pakistan is the 23rd largest economy which means we are a huge economic power we don’t know that world
Doesn’t know it and if you’re in 15 years are going to become the 13th largest economy that is huge we need to let people know that so they come right we have to let them know who we are we’re not 3 million we’re not 20 million if a Taiwanese thinks we’re 3 million
And he’s got a population of 30 million and go why go to Pakistan to invest then I look at it the perceptions can be fixed people talk about terrorism what terrorism I always argue I said Pakistan is averaging at its worst times we do about six seven terrorist incidents a
Month true but America my other home is averaging two a day that’s true that’s true then people say but America is big no it’s not it’s 330 we’re 250 it’s not that much bigger your terrorist incidents are 10 times more and over here our security agencies know where
They’re going to take place they know how to handle it in Pakistan for instance in total terrorism 400 500 people die in a year in America New York City is losing more than that but everybody goes to New York City anyways true thank you so much for saying that
And I think that over here I would love to ask you this as well that you know what what do you think what are those factors which actually stop us from being at our potential now imagine that you know for these 70 plus years that we have been independent and Sovereign we
Have examples from other countries you know who might have been independent for less than 50 years as well but we see them that their economies are doing better and while you say that you know we the 23rd largest economy and we yet have to go to the IMF every now and then
And to kind of you know to run our economic Affairs what are those factors which actually do not let Pakistan prosper and grow and stops the way the growth comes in where the you know Prosperity comes in you know so what are those factors can you jot down a few for
Us well I’ll again I I’ll give an example for 12 years I was in Bangladesh actually and help I helped them develop 16 sectors economic sectors that’s wonderful what we need to do is focus on sectors have long-term Vision I’ve been working on Gandara promotion as you mentioned Gandara I’ve calculated and
I’ve given a vision to the government that Gandara tourism alone is worth about $50 billion I have 500 million Buddhists in the world makah and Medina Buddhism is sitting right here that’s true if you come up with a 10e strategy and I gave them all the 10 steps required to do it
In 10 years if you only focus five one% of the Buddhist of the world that’s 5 million which at that point converts into $50 billion sector post Harvest losses 40% post harest losses in a starving country agriculture we throwing away we haven’t learned from thailands Cambodia how they came from behind us
And they have streamed ahead True Country like Thailand is the third largest producer and exporter of Agriculture produce in the world we being the largest and the oldest agrarian societies we are less than 1% of A3 trillion Market of the world because we are not interested in long-term Visions we go shortterm shortterm
Bicycles F dog and pony shows yeah yeah say if I may go back to another you know terrorism and murder and mhem does not stop tourists from coming true tourists are always impacted by what you call Street crimes small crimes person snatching theft this that and the other
And on that one if you look at the uh last year’s crime index of the world it is surprising France is 35 worst Malaysia is 46 America is 55 India 77 oh my Pakistan is 86 out of the 140 countries ranked we’re one of the lowest
In crime in the world but nobody knows it true and that’s where people like yourself I always say just put one two second slide on CNN we are 250 million people that will wake up the world oh that’s a big country and and Shaz when we talk about
Giving this counter narrative thankk you so much sir for voicing it out very nicely this is probably for the very first time that I’ve actually sat down with a gentleman with so much research and facts and and he backing it up very logically and make it convincing us and
Making us sure that we need to accept for who we are because I always see that when he sir talked about that how in America there is such a high crime rate so for example their terrorist attacks whenever there’s a terrorist attack going on they always label it oh the guy
Is psychologically Disturbed he’s like that this is a racist attack you know this is not like that whenever there’s a terrorist attack here so they would you know beam it with such a high side that oh my God some uh crazy terrorist he is Guided by some very intrusive sort of an
Ideology is doing that but I think all of a sudden if somebody with a beard you know the first thing that they would come up with you know that was a Muslim I mean please I think that the world knows about it even though that as soon
As you land in New York whoever your friend is going to pick you up you know from the airport the first thing that he’s going to tell you is these These are the areas you cannot go these are the areas you can go so be safe and their apps particular which are showing
You that what what are the safe areas and which is the high crime areas so you need to be made sure that you are going it out there but sir when we talk about changing the perception and we talk about having a longer term stability because you alluded to this fact and
Let’s develop the conversation further so how important do you think when we talk about the longer term plan when we talk about longer economic reforms is the culture of the political maturity important in playing especially when we talk in the Pakistani context one government comes they have their own
Plan after four years there’s a change of government the the entire plan is scrapped and then they are starting from the scratch uh so and we see that in developed countries um they’re usually progressing with one economic reform obviously there are changes Charter of democracy Charter of economy you know so
And how can we be good ambassadors as well ourselves that’s a without making controversial statement and I don’t want to criticize please don’t do that I don’t want to criticize the the vision of the leadership yes uh you know one of the things I always say somebody asked me
What’s the difference how come Bangladesh was so far behind 15 years ago and how did it get ahead I said because they’re knowledge driven that is a knowledge driven Society we are not fact-based fact- driven or knowledge driven right we will always talk superfluously big meaning what right what does that
Mean in what tented talented L youth you know well what opportunity can you give them right so one our leaders actually have to start planning right we are not planning we plan month to month to month there used to be a time where the Planning Commission of Pakistan used to
