When people think of schools and colleges, they don’t normally associate horror with the classroom. A school is supposed to be a safe place for kids to go to and get educated then graduate. Sadly, that is not the case for the movies that are on this list.
The list is going to be 10 awesome horror films that take place in an academic institution, high school or on a college campus. There will be no spoilers in this video so you do not have to worry about endings being ruined if you decide you want to watch.
With that being said, here we go! Number 10 Pledge 2018 To kick this list off, we are going to start with the movie Pledge that was released in 2018. The movie follows three freshmen friends that get the chance to live the ultimate college
Dream when rush week approaches and they have been waiting for years to be able to join a fraternity and the brotherhood that it brings; as well as the parties. The three friends go around to multiple fraternities seeing which one they think they would fit in the best.
The fraternity that they up pledging is the Sigma Epsilon chapter and before they can be inducted into the fraternity for good, they must go through the annual hazing rituals. The three friends aren’t exactly popular and would be better described as social misfits,
But seeing this as the opportunity to change that whole narrative, they excitedly agree to the hazing that will come. The hazing turns into downright torture that the friends will have to endure, but will the fraternity actually accept these misfit kids even after everything they do to them? Number 9 Black Christmas
2009 Again dealing with on college campus movie, the next entry on this list is Black Christmas which has the same name on multiple previous movies, but this one takes the story in a different turn, whether that is a good or bad thing. Depends who you ask.
The women of a female sorority at Hawthorne College stage a Christmas performance for a talent show, but when they start singing, they are calling out a fraternity on campus that is known for assaulting women whey are drunk which in return pisses the fraternity off big time.
The following days that come, the girls of the sorority start getting picked off one by one by a sadistic killer that they believe is one of the fraternity guys. The girls need to get to the bottom of whoever is doing the killing before they are all picked
Off and no girls are left in the sorority. But the question that’s begs is who is actually behind the killings? Is it the fraternity brothers? Number 8 The Faculty 1998 In this classic thriller, Herrington High, which is a high school in a small-town in Ohio have to deal with very strange occurrences
That start happening around the school that aren’t easily explained. All of a sudden, the teachers start changing attitude around the school which is odd. When Casey and Delilah have to hide in a closet in the teacher’s lounge, they witness the strangulation of Nurse Harper by two of the teachers.
Shocked, they manage to flee. Only moments later, the nurse seems to be very alive, but also somehow changed personality-wise, like all the teachers and most of the students. Only Casey, Delilah and four others seem to be suspicious that something bizarre is really taking place.
Proof of an alien infection is finally brought by the chemistry teacher, who also points out a way to kill the infected humans as if they were zombies. The plan now is to get the queen, before the aliens can spread out over the whole country and take over the world. Number 7 Carrie
2013 17-year-old Carrie White is a lonely girl targeted for ruthless abuse, not only from her bullying classmates, led by Christine Hargensen, but also from her narcissistic and fanatically religious mother at home. Sticks up for Carrie and punishes the bullies for what they have done to Carrie both emotionally and physically. Christine gets herself suspended for fighting the punishment and begins plotting revenge against Carrie as if she didn’t start the whole situation from her bullying.
Meanwhile, Carrie is beginning to discover she has great telekinetic powers and can move things with her mind. Christine’s former best friend, Sue asks her boyfriend to take Carrie to senior prom, which he does after seeing the emotional stress that has been put on her.

When the prank is carried out, a horrible fate awaits Carrie’s tormentors as the doors seal shut and a fire breaks out in the high school prom gym.

The four kids seem like the ones that you would never expect to be psycho and when there are other people around, they sound very intelligent and charismatic, but the second that it is just the four of them, they go into full murderer mode and discuss their next attack.
Their arrogance and cockiness soon will attract the eyes of the local sheriff’s department and with police on their tracks; they are going to have to be even more careful with how they conduct their killings from here on out.
