Uh there’s been a dayong deliberation on the business on news but I only want to say that I love the news domain I love the news professionals I love the media industry it’s a community for me it’s not a business for me yes there are almost 200 people that work at exchange

For media so the the initiative has to be sustainable but I genuinely look at our my all of you as my community so a lot has been said about news but I will only say that we do inba to celebrate your hard work your success and the contribution that you make to democracy

So please give yourself a big round of applause when all of you come here today we’ve our jury when it met on 19th March we added one award which was not in the category I’d proposed three Awards which were not in the jury booklet and the jury only accepted one

Um every year there is a group of professionals and I have their names every year they meet me at inai and they say there’s no award for guest coordinators we are also very important player in the segment we ensure the right guests come we deal with their

Tantrums and really we play an important last year a very young colleague from the News broadcasting fraternity from the guest coordinator of fraternity lost his life and I must I must say that these young professionals from our industry a lot of them but I have names of six but they represent maybe 50

People who got together to raise money for his family and I was on that WhatsApp group I saw the kind of Brotherhood the kind of really selfless feeling and a feeling of community in raising almost 25 lakhs in a short span of 20 odd days so tonight we start inba

By recognizing postumus Shri Deepak upadhi G who at a very young age of 28 plus survived by his wife and two children so we posthumously give the news coordinator of the Year award to Shri Deepak upad G that’s the first award we will do and to to receive that

Will be Mr pul Mishra Mr himansu Pand Mr Vikram Chri Mr shubam Chri Mr Prat takur and Mr Rajesh kasham so really uh you know I was personally touched by the carder that the groups shared and when we proposed this in the jury the jury was unanimous in accepting it and there

Is a certain jury member I would take his name Mr janardan Pand who said we should also financially support this so he came up to financially support it and there’ll be a small contribution from inba towards the family we can’t do much but it is our way uh to respect

The sentiment expressed by our fraternity so I don’t want to stand between you the two Co JY chair will make brief speeches and the audio video visual of the inba jury that play applaud hard all the best for covering elections in April May May the best party win may we have a strong

Connected with the country over here so congratulations to the team over Here this is the first time uh I’ve been part of a jury that is judging news and news uh production and news channels and news programming um I I found it really interesting very [Applause] different entries per se were like phenomenal because you know we’ve never seen news anchors getting questioned about uh their channels so that was a best part because they question everybody and nobody question good EXC to Bo in that I think what stood out this time was the young journalists um

They have come up with a newer idea of Journalism because they’re used to not just uh the journalism that was taught in schools and colleges earlier but also journalism that is selfmade and self-designed through social media it has been spectacular event today and once again thank you to

Enba and uh also for letting me and honoring me to be a part of their jury every year we see there’s an improvement in the entries and as a as a member of the jury you know I I’m very proud that the overall industry is really really

Stepping up it’s an honor to serve on this jury because this is the area where we work and to be awarded here I know it is such a huge honor so to be on the jwy of an event like this is a bigger honor my experience of the entries uh once

Again I’ll combine what I saw last year and this year is that uh there’s a huge variety there is a lot of coverage of the regional uh you know news items uh the most important thing is he invites certain type of people because he wants uh real winners not just people just
