The intentional, noticed choices are obvious. โVanilla or chocolate?โ
But most of the choices we live with are unseen. Theyโre expensive, challenging and invisible.
When we plan an event with an outdoor component, weโre choosing to be anxious about the weather in the week leading up to the big day.
When we buy something with a credit card, weโre choosing the long-term cost of paying the ongoing debt.
When we stick with a deadend job instead of quitting today, tomorrowโs angst was a choice.
These invisible choices are all around us, often hidden by forces that would rather we didnโt think about them. And itโs usually easier to simply look the other way.
But theyโre still choices.
