Alpha Gamma Delta at the University of Georgia celebrated its centennial campus anniversary on the weekend of April 14th. The chapter hosted events for current members and alumnae to commemorate the special 100th anniversary within the organization.
Some of the events that took place were an alumna gathering at Paloma Park where Alpha Gam’s past and present were able to gather and share memories of their sisterhood, as well as an open house tour to showcase new renovations done by Metal and Petal and various G-Day celebrations.
The chapter also organized a band party at Georgia Theater for members to attend on Saturday night. The band FlyByRadio performed hits from different decades and Alpha Gams participated in a dance battle where member classes from each decade were represented. Many members said this was their favorite moment from the festivities.
To wrap up the weekend, Alpha Gamma Delta held its annual International Reunion Day in Tate Grand Hall. Sisters gathered for brunch and shared fond memories of their time in Gamma Alpha at UGA.
Additionally, academic and philanthropic achievements from this year were highlighted and shared with alumnae. The chapter also presented scholastic and character awards at the brunch, which were given to current chapter members.
