I asked girls and sororities what diversity looks like in Greek life and I didn’t get many responses I feel like that might be a little controversial so I just don’t want to support anything I got one insightful response from this kind student talking about how her sorority aims to create an inclusive
Environment we can’t really help it if people of color or who aren’t heteronomous normative don’t rush but we want to create like a safe space in case they do that led me to my next PATH which was to ask people of color why they don’t join the traditional frats
And sororities are you planning to to join a sorority oh no no why is that what made me very uncomfortable was how white it was it felt like exclusive or like scrutiny I think the perception like as a whole though become a little bit more negative a lot of them didn’t
Really put efforts into diversity Equity inclusion until like BLM and even so those representatives were still not people of color the truth is there is racial diversity in Greek life but it exists elsewhere I’d love to shine a light on the Multicultural frats and sororities that don’t get as much
Visibility so if you’re in the community hit me up
