Phi Delta Theta Welcomes Its Largest Phikeia Class in a Decade

Phi Delta Theta welcomed 3,121 men into its chapters during the fall 2025 semester, marking the fraternity’s largest fall Phikeia class in the last ten years. This milestone reflects continued, sustainable growth across the organization and underscores the effectiveness of Phi Delta Theta’s recruitment and expansion strategies.

Compared to fall 2024, overall Phikeias recruited increased by 2.1 percent, signaling steady momentum at a time when many universities continue to face enrollment and engagement challenges nationwide. This growth reinforces Phi Delta Theta’s commitment to supporting undergraduate chapters with the tools, training, and strategic guidance needed to recruit men aligned with the Fraternity’s values of Friendship, Sound Learning, and Rectitude.

A significant contributor to this success was the work of Phi Delta Theta’s growth team, which successfully executed six expansion projects during the fall semester. These efforts resulted in the return of four historic chapters and the establishment of two new chapters, further extending the Fraternity’s footprint and strengthening its long-term presence in key collegiate communities.

This momentum was further reinforced through recent chartering ceremonies that welcomed two historic chapters back into the fold. Phi Delta Theta proudly celebrated the return of Florida Gamma at Florida State University and Georgia Zeta at Georgia College & State University. These ceremonies honored each chapter’s legacy and the alumni support that made their returns possible, preserving tradition and strengthening the foundation for future generations of Phi Delts.

Recruitment efforts within existing chapters also produced meaningful results. Thirty-two chapters met or exceeded their recruitment challenge goals this fall, leading to a 59 percent increase in Phikeias among those chapters.

While the fall semester represents a significant milestone, Phi Delta Theta recognizes that the work of recruitment is never complete. The Fraternity is now setting its sights on recruiting the largest spring Phikeia class of the last decade. To accomplish this, all chapters are being challenged to exceed their spring recruitment goals, and the fraternity will continue to pursue an ambitious expansion strategy, grounded in the belief that Phi Delta Theta provides a transformative experience for young men and a positive, lasting impact on the campus communities it serves.
