Legacy Plaza feels on our campus is the non-historically black fraternities and sororities on campus don’t necessarily have a home a place where they can gather that is specifically meant for them like their counterparts that have houses or spaces where you know exactly where you’re supposed to go exactly where you’re supposed to gather
A part of homecoming and the tradition is to meet at your plot most organizations have that on HBCU campuses so now for Carolina to be able to incorporate such a strong tradition on our campus it’s going to mean a lot the Legacy Plaza will be used in several ways hosting events specifically the
Cookout that we have on the last day of class the yard shows step shows stroll offs anything that brings us together to just have fun and take a break from school take a break from all this stress with school our space is so centrally located that you’re gonna pass by it hopefully
It’ll Peak a little bit more interest to understand the Deep traditions and things that black Greek organizations are able to bring on campus unfortunately sometimes people only know about a step show and we are so much bigger than a step show it really is important for the entire
Campus we see parents we see students we see Alum sort of just come up and read and so they asked questions that someone is around and what that does is it brings us a little bit closer to understanding each other it makes Carolina a much more Rich place
