We’re following one of the oldest college fraternities. One of the oldest black college fraternities in the United States is moving its 2025 conference out of Florida. Alpha Phi Alpha says the state is hostile to the black community. The fraternities event was expected to generate $4.6 million in economic impact.
The fraternity says it will continue to support the strong advocacy of its Alpha brothers and other advocates fighting against what it calls the continued assault on our communities in Florida by Governor Ron DeSantis.
