My name is Samuel Nelzy, and I am the outgoing National Pan-Hellenic Council President here at the University of Florida. NPHC is the National Pan-Hellenic Council It is comprised of the historical black Greek Fraternities and Sororities. The NPHC Garden will be used for unity.

Be a space where a lot of black greeks are able to hangout, take pictures be a part of a long lasting legacy. Reggie Lane who’s the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs here at UF, is probably one of the best people on this campus.

He’s the driving force behind a lot of the greatness you see at UF. The NPHC Gardens would not have been possible without him and the work he’s done behind the scenes So I have to give a lot of credit to the Black Student Affairs Task Force

There was a committee formed and out of that committee became this idea of having a space for black students who are Greek on campus and the birthing of The NPHC Garden happened with that committee I’m very appreciative that you know after many years of people lobbying to get it here, it’s finally done.

But I’m definitely excited to have another space where black students especially black greek students can feel welcome. With NPHC Gardens on campus I want those people who see it to stop and look and question and want to learn. I hope this garden will serve as a safe

Community gathering space for members of the NPHC and as a welcome symbol of UF’s commitment to it’s diverse students here in the Gator Nation Thank you and Go Gators!
