And by the definitions of the words once you are聽 over 18 you are no longer a girl I’m trying to聽聽 practice removing girl and replacing it with聽 woman in my vocabulary because I feel like聽聽
It may be some of the reason why women still get聽 looked at as girls I’m not I’m not here for like聽聽 girl power so I may slip up because obviously聽 sorority girls is something that we’ve been聽聽
Using in our society as language for a long time聽 but I am going to try to refer to them as women聽聽 who are in a sorority because we are women not聽 girls I have also decided that I’m not going to聽聽
Be investing my money or time into learning how聽 to use a teleprompter so sometimes you may just聽聽 like see the clipboard of notes I may just break聽 the fourth wall and uh yeah that’s just how it’s聽聽
Going to be because that’s how I would like聽 to do this because I’m not trying to be like聽聽 a news reporter and I keep having to like gain聽 these new skills but like we’re just going to do聽聽
This like this and uh yeah just break the fourth聽 wall make it it’s chill it’s relaxed it’s just聽聽 we’re you’re just like in my office just like聽 hanging out we’re having a conversation and I’m聽聽
Just like looking at my notes and that’s that’s聽 how we’re going to do do it so let’s get into [Music] it Greek life is an opportunity聽 to social climb and to arrive in a higher聽聽 class status in the societal hierarchy聽 it is the equivalent of being presented聽聽
At court in a monarchy active members are聽 looking for girls that we can see Futures聽聽 in and that are going to like literally聽 uphold our chapter and make us better in聽聽 all aspects whether that be grades or like聽 how we present ourselves to the universe if聽聽
You’re not meeting a certain criteria聽 you’ll kind of just be dropped just be dropped Miss Prudence Featherington Miss Phila聽 Featherington and Miss Penelope Featherington聽聽 all presented by their mother the right honorable聽 Lady Featherington [Music] it is only the queen’s聽聽
Eye that matters today the glimmer of displeasure聽 and young ladies have plummets to Unthinkable聽聽 deaths kind of just be [Music] dropped Sorrows聽 Sorrows prayers Greek life is basically like聽聽 one of your first opportunities to capitalist聽 social climb to higher class statuses it is聽聽
Probably one of the most effective ways to Rise聽 Up from your current class social status to a聽聽 higher one uh successfully for your lifetime聽 like I mentioned previously I would consider聽聽 it very similar to being presented at court聽 or being presented uh as an eligible you know聽聽
Woman in court in Bridgerton the uh women are聽 presented to society to court as eligible for聽聽 marriage I think around like 14 15 obviously we聽 have different ages for that these days it is聽聽 18 but it’s really similar kind of experience of聽 like it’s your first time presenting yourself as聽聽
An adult to society without your parents being聽 able to make your own decisions so Greek life聽聽 is is literally a recreation of Greek and Roman聽 Societies in a microcosm because these people are聽聽 the next generation of the elite in our current聽 society that was built on all the mechanisms of聽聽
Control that the Greek and Roman societies聽 were built on so I want to emphasize it’s聽聽 literally called Greek life they literally聽 use like Alpha Beta Pi language they have a聽聽 senate uh which is very much rooted in uh Roman聽 and Greek Empires and government they have an聽聽
Aspect of Greek life that is literally called聽 government they actually like elect kings and queens right like prom kings and queen so it聽 really is is like an opportunity to replicate聽聽 a lot of toxic uh ways that we organized Society聽 in the past and maybe even maybe I could you know聽聽
Encourage you to believe that really America聽 is just a modern version of a Roman or Greek聽聽 Empire even though we like to call ourselves a聽 country even though we like to call our emperor聽聽 a president uh we do still call the Senate the聽 Senate the reason why this is important to kind聽聽
Of understand how Society Works how the upper聽 echelons of society work how to navigate those聽聽 things what are the rules is because we’re聽 Anarchist and we’re trying to overthrow the聽聽 system these college campuses that have Greek聽 lives on them are there to basically prepare聽聽
The next generation of toxic greedy capitalist聽 elite to do toxic greedy mipa and capitalist聽聽 things and they practice it on these college聽 campuses another reason why this is important聽聽 for Anarchist Communists is is because our聽 educational system within this Empire country聽聽
We live in is a sorting mechanism we’re going to聽 be diving deeper into that in the next section聽聽 but it is a sorting mechanism and even getting聽 into college itself is a sorting mechanism for聽聽
Who is going to be at the top of society uh the聽 top echelons of society and who is going to be聽聽 at the bottom and if you know anything about Roman聽 society it would be like who are going to be like聽聽
The senators or the I think they’re called plebs聽 and who are going to be like the slaves and the聽聽 freed men at the bottom I also wanted to add in聽 that I had to refilm this like first intro part聽聽
Because for some reason the video didn’t get聽 picked up not for some reason I forgot to turn聽聽 the camera on that’s actually what happened and聽 I only got the audio and so this is me refiling聽聽
It on another day just in case when we go to the聽 next section you’re like something looks a little [Music] different so what Greek life really ends聽 up as at the core being about is being accepted聽聽
And finding which class of the upper echelons of聽 society you are going to be accepted and belong聽聽 to who are you going to get to network with who聽 are you going to have parties with who are your聽聽
Children going to go to school with right who are聽 going to be supposedly your sister best friends聽聽 and when I say upper echelons of society聽 and society as a whole I definitely want聽聽 to emphasize white Western European Society聽 I’m actually going to take white out and just聽聽
Say like Western European Society the West public聽 education system in America on mass for everyone聽聽 was really set up by people about 100 years ago聽 150 years ago to control the masses to make more聽聽 industrial workers right there are quotes from uh聽 people that literally they are saying like we are聽聽
Not trying to educate or expand the mind we are聽 literally trying to make someone that knows the聽聽 rudimentary Sciences they need to know to be聽 able to do the jobs and the functions we need聽聽 them to do in society college is part of that聽 sorting system like who gets into college and聽聽
Who just gets a high school diploma is part of the聽 sorting system High School itself is part of the聽聽 sorting system right the categorizing of who’s聽 going to get to class move and who you know in聽聽
High school right there are private high schools聽 right did you go to a private high school did you聽聽 go to a private boarding school well then you’re聽 probably in the upper echelons of society you’re聽聽 already categorized out right you don’t even get聽 to like socialize with people from other classes聽聽
When you go to school all of these institutional聽 structures are absolutely influenced also by your聽聽 race by your attractiveness by your gender by聽 your sexuality but there are different ways way聽聽 within these structures that they categorize聽 people right in high school were categorized聽聽
By grades we’re categorized by Honor role and聽 non- honor role right who are the bad kids who聽聽 get suspended or in detention all the time right聽 and oftentimes now day who is going to be arrested聽聽 right who gets the police called on them right聽 they’re going to be having statistically less聽聽
Opportunities in the future and that is also聽 part of that sorting system so once you’ve made聽聽 it through high school if you are so lucky as to聽 be able to attend college meaning that you have聽聽
The funds or were able to get the funds somehow聽 and you are also able to put room and board over聽聽 your head and you know you got the grades from聽 from high school so you’ve made it through one聽聽
Of capitalism’s weeding systems and you are now聽 in college and now there is Greek life which not聽聽 everybody on campus is in because you have to rush聽 and be chosen the elite love to like choose right聽聽
They love to like choose somebody ooh you’ll be my聽 favorite we’re going to touch more on that too so聽聽 College as a sorting system you have right from聽 the beginning what kind of college are you going聽聽
To is it a private school is it a public school聽 are you going to community college right all of聽聽 those things is already starting out the sorting聽 system based on the degree you’re going to get聽聽 getting a two degree from a community college or聽 a bachelor’s degree from a public school versus聽聽
Getting a degree at a private school that is of聽 the upper echelon of society D1 school or again聽聽 uh you know Pepperdine or whatever those are going聽 to be different people you get to socialize with聽聽
And it is going to affect like where you are going聽 to fit in job-wise capitalism wise because of the聽聽 people that you are going to school with and so聽 that again is another sorting mechanism now when聽聽
When it comes to Greek life then you also you聽 sort through the houses right you sort between聽聽 gender male female houses right and you also sort聽 through the best kids on campus right because not聽聽 everybody is in Greek life and if they’re not聽 in Greek life then yes you’ve been decided to聽聽
Get a degree but you probably will not be able to聽 network social climb as much as someone who’s been聽聽 able to have access to the Privileges that Greek聽 life gives you even if it is one of the lower bar聽聽
Frat houses or sororities which is so weird that聽 they like rate them but capitalism everybody so聽聽 within a college setup you have Greek students聽 people who are part of Greek life and you have聽聽 non-greek students that’s a categorization right聽 then once you get into Greek life you’ve got frats聽聽
And sororities and then once you get into that聽 situation right there’s power structures within聽聽 all of those individual uh houses so you have聽 all the individual houses and then all of those聽聽 individual houses have their own government and聽 power structure and then the whole Greek life聽聽
Has its own like government and power structure聽 right and within that you also have the machine聽聽 which we will uh address here in in a bit but聽 that’s another sorting system within Greek life聽聽 of who the elite people within the elite people聽 are it’s like a little Russian doll egg other聽聽
Category ories that come up in college is like聽 whether you finish or not like do you did you聽聽 get a degree or did you drop out I have not I’m聽 I’m in the Dropout by the way just to clarify I聽聽
Went to school online never had this experience聽 never wanted to have this experience sorties ah聽聽 scar no no not the experience I want to have like聽 the aspect that most people understand that you聽聽 go to college to to get the piece of paper that聽 says that you can finish college unless you have聽聽
Like a very specific degree program like being聽 being a lawyer or a doctor or a nurse where it聽聽 requires knowing very specific subjective type聽 of information for that career versus you know聽聽 like a business degree the degree programs聽 are actually another way to sort people right聽聽
Because the law students are going to stay聽 with law students doctor business right you聽聽 want to stay with people within your similar聽 field because that’s going to be best place聽聽 to network Greek life is absolutely a form聽 of grooming and by grooming I mean it is a聽聽
Microcosm to practice all of the manipulative聽 skills you need to thrive in capitalism and to聽聽 work your way up the social status in in a little聽 microcosm of of of college and so there is there聽聽 is an aspect of grooming that these barely聽 adults just became adults people are going聽聽
To go through in college and then if you decide聽 to be in Greek life and you get accepted and then聽聽 also if you’re part of the machine uh which the聽 people who are part of the machine are probably聽聽
Very much already aware of how this structure聽 works because they are probably already in the聽聽 upper echelons of society basically the goal聽 is to root out the week and see who survives聽聽 and who’s willing to play the game even if聽 they have realized and figured out that it’s
[Music] rigged so when you like really break聽 down what are the goals of getting into Greek聽聽 life on campus uh it’s it’s pretty simple it’s聽 like there’s about three goals if the people are聽聽 honest with themselves find a suitable match for聽 marriage or at least put yourself in a position聽聽
To find that person and again the higher the聽 class status you are in the more that that is聽聽 important we don’t think or like to think聽 about the fact that like people that have聽聽 these billion dollar million doll fortunes that聽 they’re passing along are absolutely involved聽聽
In who their children are marrying if they’re the聽 royalty of our day like it it matters whose Royal聽聽 Empires are coming together this is a place聽 to find that match and and get approval from聽聽 Mommy and Daddy it’s also a way to be accepted聽 into a higher social group or class status or聽聽
Basically to create a social group it allows you聽 the opportunity to possibly raise up your class聽聽 status by knowing people that are in higher聽 class statuses or class levels than you are聽聽 or the first one miring up which is what a lot聽 of women are doing at College back in the day聽聽
And and now third one is again kind of related聽 you get to network with people in higher classes聽聽 so you also have the opportunity for better聽 career possibilities in the future which which聽聽 is more important now than it was back in the聽 day obviously women didn’t have careers back聽聽
When there was a Royal Court it is an opportunity聽 to learn the tools of power gaining and the tools聽聽 of manipulation and the tools of capitalism and聽 the rules and practice them on your classmate in聽聽 a more controlled setting before they let these聽 human beings out and Unleashed onto the real聽聽
World to do more exploitation and narcissistic聽 abuse and all the things in capitalism that we Hate this does this look okay is this聽 a good location this is not the best聽聽 location there’s another spot in my my聽 dad’s study I mean we have like 14 rooms聽聽 so we should be able to find something聽 this is okay yeah we like the lighting聽聽

Have two eligible older brothers that also attend聽 Bama and are also in Greek life they are both in聽聽 one of the top fraternities on campus I was a聽 valedictorian of my Upstate New York boarding聽聽 school I love butterflies and knitting and I聽 love a good Taylor Swift concert you know when聽聽

Woman and I know that this does differ depending聽 on what college you’re at so this documentary is聽聽 specifically about Alabama and Alabama is in the聽 South so it is going to very much cater towards聽聽 this Southern bell and so there may be some聽 things that are slightly different in other聽聽
Colleges but it’s probably pretty similar because聽 again the upper echelons of society have a very聽聽 HP a critical perspective of Purity in marriage聽 they perform it uh but they’re also most of the聽聽 time a bunch of [聽__聽] a bunch of [聽__聽] [聽__聽]聽 all these people just like Royal Court they’re聽聽
[聽__聽] everyone mes left and right you know what聽 I mean and guess what the the guys the men they聽聽 learn that in Greek life in college because they聽 kind of have the power over Greek life since they聽聽
Rate all the houses the the the men the young boys聽 that just became adult boys get to rate they they聽聽 make the ratings for the sorority houses and most聽 people assume in the documentary it’s based on how聽聽
Hot the women are and I don’t think I needed to聽 watch the documentary to know that I think the聽聽 competition mostly comes from the rankings of聽 sororities trying to get in one of those top or聽聽
Middle tier houses and not getting into a bottom聽 house I think a lot of the times people like to聽聽 rank and by people I usually mean fraternity boys聽 or boys in general I feel like they’re like oh聽聽
This house has the hottest girls so they’re a top聽 house they like these freshmen are the hottest聽聽 freshman so they’re going to be considered聽 a top house ranking system I truly believe聽聽 is based on the fraternities so essentially they聽 have a social calendar and they get to mix with聽聽
Certain sorties but it’s only limited amount聽 and the fraternities want to be mixing with聽聽 the hottest sororities of course because you know聽 they’re 20-year old males so that’s kind of where聽聽 the pranking system comes from they want to make聽 sure the girls who are wearing their letters are聽聽
Up to their standards the perfect sorority woman聽 you have to be lovely and outgoing and know how to聽聽 do small talk always presenting the best example聽 of Womanhood in society you are a representation聽聽 you are a bar barie you’re like the first Barbie聽 of whatever your role is the version of you in聽聽
Society and you’re like supposed to be able to聽 present this so that every other woman peasant聽聽 can look up to you and know that this is what聽 Womanhood is you know you must be unique but聽聽
Do not stand out look the part and fit in but be聽 unique but don’t stand out your outfit of the day聽聽 must be impressive and designer conventionally聽 and and objectively attractive conventionally聽聽 objectively attractive so like we can’t have any聽 like like we can’t have too many like full-blown聽聽
Like sex pots you know some women they just ooze聽 sex I doubt that they make their way into a lot聽聽 of these sororities some women ooze you know聽 pretty flowers some women ooze lavender and聽聽 some women ooze [聽__聽] you know what I mean聽 like like dolgic cat Soulja cat oozes [Music]
[聽__聽] we are enemies we are foes that’s probably聽 going to stand out right and possibly make some聽聽 of these other people who ooze lavender a little聽 insecure so I doubt that those women do as well聽聽 so again conventionally objectively attractive聽 okay uh you must look like you belong whatever聽聽
That that means classy calm and cool you know聽 you must be pretty enough but most likely not too聽聽 pretty or too attractive to steal too much of the聽 air or tension in the room because then you are a聽聽
Threat this is true I used to work at a bar right聽 down the street from SMU in uh Dallas Texas and I聽聽 used to be so confused at how like large groups聽 of girls would come in they’re clearly in a Sor聽聽
Together right there’s 10 15 20 of them they’re聽 there for a birthday or whatever and like I cannot聽聽 tell these women apart like I’m not trying to be聽 that person that’s like oh white women look alike聽聽
But I could not tell the girls apart I would take聽 pictures you know that all of them in a line like聽聽 doing the picture there’s like 25 of them and聽 like they all have the same haircut it’s like聽聽
Only six colors of blonde between all of them and聽 all their highlights and it was really hard to聽聽 tell them apart and and that that stood out to me聽 in this documentary I’m like oh that’s why that’s
[Music] why so what is important for like rushing聽 right uh I made kind of a list based on like what聽聽 I heard them talk about in the documentary um聽 what you wear is clearly really important cuz聽聽

Blowing this topic up so we got this documentary聽 so that I could do this video your class status聽聽 they don’t talk about that very much in the聽 documentary but it’s very obvious that your聽聽 class status is very important because I聽 believe it was like over $8,000 in like聽聽
Membership fees per year to join a sorority聽 that was just one number I’m sure it depends聽聽 on the amount will depend on the sorority but聽 I can’t imagine paying what $30 $40,000 a year聽聽 for school and then room and board and聽 then also like $8 $9,000 to just be in a
Group just be like making friends is free what聽 family you are from they this didn’t come up聽聽 in the documentary but like your family name and聽 the reputation of that family and like where they聽聽 stand in the current Society is really important聽 about getting into these frats and sororities and聽聽
Probably is really influential within the aspect聽 of the machine or the upper echelons of Greek聽聽 government and Greek life uh what your personal聽 public reputation is so now that we have social聽聽 media the girls were making sure that the social聽 media looked like what a perfect Sorority Girl聽聽
Like we talked about in the last little topic聽 looks like right so they have to take off stuff聽聽 that may be too sexual or maybe talking about聽 topics that they’re not supposed suppos to be聽聽
Talking about in public we’ll also get to that聽 but you have to be very aware of your own like聽聽 public reputation constantly which having gotten聽 a little just a little smidgen of that in my life聽聽
I hate that and I would hate to have to do that聽 all the time it causes a ton of anxiety to have聽聽 to be on your p’s and q’s all the time and never聽 be able to make a mistake or you might get shunned聽聽
Or lose all your opportunities or kicked out of聽 the Authority or fraternity or whatever else so聽聽 once you graduate and you’re in society yeah you聽 will get like like exiled from different aspects聽聽 of the upper echelons of society uh the charity聽 that you have performed for other people that’s聽聽
Really important because you know the elite like聽 to make sure that they look like they’re giving聽聽 some pennies back so that we think that they are聽 good people you know and they feel inside like聽聽 they are good people even though they are not聽 they could be though okay again I’m like Jesus聽聽
In the aspect that you can always come to the聽 light all the way down to the last minute okay聽聽 you can always become the anarchist and realize聽 that you was wrong and turn around to better ways聽聽
I did not just say I’m like Jesus I’m keeping聽 that in there I don’t care how do you present聽聽 to the everyday people so that also has to do with聽 your reputation you have a reputation within the聽聽 upper echelons of society but then you also聽 have a reputation with like us the peasants聽聽
Peasantry the masses the slave the workers聽 can you follow rules that’s a big one it’s聽聽 can you follow the rules when necessary and do聽 you know when it’s okay to break them because聽聽 they love to break all their rules it’s part聽 of the hypocrisy it’s part of the narcissism聽聽
It’s part of the you know performance and then聽 also how badly do you want to belong the more聽聽 that you want to belong the more that you have聽 that need and desire to belong to a status or聽聽
A class in uh the world uh the more that they聽 are going to kind of probably be able to run you聽聽 through suck you right into the Beast they they聽 love people that are desperate and especially聽聽 traumatized especially if you’re you know your聽 parents didn’t accept you and so you are super聽聽
Desperate for affirmation and acceptance like聽 a like a lot of us actually like a lot of us聽聽 all right that got two series for a second um聽 let’s move on to the next card title card title
[Music] card now I mentioned rules in the last聽 segment but it’s a very like weird not based on聽聽 morality set of rules to play in these upper聽 echelons of society because once you get to聽聽 that aspect of society um a lot of people are聽 struggling with self-obsession to the extreme聽聽
Maybe pathologically I won’t use the nword聽 narcissism I won’t say that because I don’t聽聽 know if my audience is ready to hear that聽 most of the people at the top are probably聽聽 [聽__聽] narcissist but once you get to that point聽 that means the Rules of Engagement are going to聽聽
Constantly change right moving the goal poost and聽 are going to look different than what the rules of聽聽 engagement are for again the rest of society there聽 is a certain certain abstract arbitrary unspoken聽聽 criteria that you must meet or you’re rejected聽 abstract arbitrary and unspoken criteria so you聽聽
Have no idea what it is and it can always change聽 and that is a tactic of a narcissist moving the聽聽 gold poost and also not sharing enough information聽 so that you would possibly know what the goalpost
Are no one from the outside or the peasantry聽 is really going to get into these parties a聽聽 lot of these parties you may be so blessed聽 as to be friends with someone who goes to聽聽 one of these schools and maybe you didn’t go聽 to college and they bring you to a party but聽聽
I’m there’s probably rules about that like it聽 was very clear in this documentary that what聽聽 goes on behind closed doors in these frats and聽 sororities they do not want people to know and聽聽 oh the bodies that are probably buried and I mean聽 metaphorically and and literally the fraternities聽聽
Are actually the ones that hold the power and聽 run Greek life in society so like maybe that’s聽聽 a little place we could explore about some of聽 this you know sexism that we’re dealing with聽聽 in society it it that may have something to聽 do with it if everybody at the top is running聽聽
Through these systems in which at a young聽 age at 18 19 a young boy gets to experience power power over other people power over other聽 men power over women yeah it’s a good way to聽聽 juice them up for a lifelong uh journey of only聽 seeking power some of the Rules of Engagement uh聽聽
Don’t be too scandy they said it scandy I love聽 these new generations like slang terms it’s like聽聽 they’re just lazy and don’t want to finish聽 saying the word not scandalous it’s scandy聽聽 don’t really trust anyone because anyone and聽 everyone will call you out to get in trouble聽聽
Because that benefits them in the power structure聽 often times to benefit from the capitalistic like聽聽 you know grind to the top like you are going聽 to have to betray people along the way right聽聽 there’s only one position like you’re going聽 to have to do things that may not be in your聽聽
Value system and capitalism will force you to do聽 that because you want that promotion or you want聽聽 to get invited to that party or whatever else聽 you have to be on your Ps and q’s cuz you have聽聽
To keep your reputation up but you also have to聽 be on your Ps and q’s around other people within聽聽 your class social structure because they may be聽 the ones that betray you if it benefits them uh聽聽 you want people talking about you mainly because聽 you’re obsessed with yourself but also because it聽聽
Benefits you to have your name in people’s moue聽 but you only want them talking about you in the聽聽 best ways this is in Greek sorority life and聽 that would be ideal cuz you don’t want to get聽聽 cancelled or again kicked out once they graduate聽 in their an everyday Society you know negative聽聽
Attention isn’t always bad attention I I think聽 that’s actually one of the 48 Laws of [Music] Power Russia is an emotional process right聽 it it’s about can you make it through the聽聽 week psychologically it is kind of psychological聽 warfare right because it’s like having to deal聽聽 with like like a whole Legion of narcissistic聽 people or people who are a little emotionally聽聽
Unstable cuz they were raised in too much聽 money and [Music] spoiled not all of them聽聽 but a good portion this week right when聽 we hear about hazing right there’s been聽聽 hazing stories that have been been so extreme聽 people have died people have seriously been聽聽
Harmed right we call it hazing cuz they’re聽 in college I think that is a language that聽聽 the elite want us to use so that we think that聽 that is normal behavior and not psychotic or聽聽 neurotic or narcissistic right cuz these聽 are their children their extensions of聽聽
Themselves of their Empires a lot of things聽 that happen in sororities and fraternities is criminal let’s put it that way criminal here is聽 a list of a few crimes perpetrated by sorority’s聽聽 sister in 2018 at Georgia’s Fort Valley State聽 University girls were coarsed into sexual acts in聽聽
Order to help pay for their school fees at Ohio’s聽 musk and gum University a 20-year-old Miss Weaver聽聽 gave birth to a baby in the bathroom and then put聽 the baby in a trash bag and left it outside near聽聽
The sorority where the baby died in 2002 two Alpha聽 Kappa Alpha sorority pledges were found drowned聽聽 in the ocean on Doc wheeler State beach after a聽 hazing ritual in 0 at ruter University Sigma gamma聽聽 Roy sorority beat one of their pledges over 200聽 times in a hazing ritual causing so much pain to聽聽
Her buttcks she had to go to the hospital in 2015聽 a UCLA student was stabbed multiple times and a聽聽 fire was started to try to cover up the murder the聽 men arrested for the murder were college students聽聽
The sorority girl that was murdered was found in聽 possession of large amounts of drugs intent for聽聽 sale in 2016 three sisters from the Kappa Delta Pi聽 sorority at the University of California St Cruz聽聽 were arrested in a campus-wide drug ring they聽 reportedly mailed over $100,000 worth of MDMA聽聽
To themselves on campus with the intent to sell聽 and just to be fair let’s talk about a couple聽聽 scandals from fraternities three fraternities at聽 Cal State Northridge have been suspended since聽聽 the death last year of a 19-year-old student聽 Amando Villa became dehydrated July 1st during聽聽
A mandatory hike while pledging for pi cap of聽 Pi that fraternity into two others have been聽聽 shut down over allegations of hazing and sexual聽 misconduct a northern Michigan ski resort has聽聽 accused University of Michigan fraternity Sigma聽 Alpha mu and sorority Sigma Delta tow of so聽聽
Thoroughly trashing rooms this year that cleanup聽 cost total $230,000 the fraternity is no longer聽聽 recognized as a campus organiz and the sority聽 has been placed on disciplinary suspension for聽聽 2 years a criminal investigation is underway the聽 Clemson University Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon聽聽
Fraternity was suspended in December after holding聽 a crimp mus party where white students dressed up聽聽 as gang members campus administrators castigated聽 the party but many students said it reflected a聽聽 deep ingrained sense of racial hostility at the聽 southern Carolina school at West Lan University聽聽
A West Lan University student filed a federal聽 lawsuit against SII Epsilon fraternity and its聽聽 West Lan chapter in May alleging she was thrown聽 over a couch in a common room and raped While聽聽 others watched after she tried to leave a party聽 in 2013 the student contends that the fraternity’s聽聽
Negligence allowed her to be assaulted Georgia聽 Tech VI cpau fraternity made headlines in 2013聽聽 after fraternity wide email that offered advice聽 for luring rape bait at parties was leaked online聽聽 it was suspended in 2014 for 3 years because of聽 several violations of the student code of conduct聽聽
Arizona State University revoked fraternity聽 ta Capa epson’s affiliation with the school聽聽 in 2014 after it threw a Martin Luther King Jr聽 themed party that mocked African-Americans photos聽聽 from the event showed mostly white attendees聽 wearing baggie basketball jerseys and bandanas聽聽
And drinking from watermelon cups along with聽 hashtags such as blackout for MLK I have a聽聽 dream and MLK party another ASU fraternity had聽 its status revoked in 2013 after a 20-year-old聽聽 student with a blood alcohol level five times聽 illegal limit was dumped out an emergency room聽聽
His Sigma Alpha Epson Brothers left only a posted聽 note with his name scribbled on it to identify him聽聽 in 2012 another student 19-year-old rushy Jack聽 C drowned in a river after drinking at an event聽聽 thrown by the fraternity Delta Kappa Epsilon the聽 Yale fraternity that counts both President Bush’s聽聽
As alumni was banned from recruiting members or聽 holding any events on campus for 5 years in 2011聽聽 the fator’s offenses pledges were required to聽 chant sexually offensive remarks including no聽聽 means yes yes means anal while gathered on the聽 University’s historic old campus quad in June聽聽
2012 the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity chapter at聽 Cornell University was convicted of violating New聽聽 York anti-hazing laws in the February 2011 death聽 of 19-year-old George desdunes authorities say the聽聽 sophomore from Brooklyn died after drinking too聽 much alcohol during a hazing ritual in January聽聽
2009 the sigma new fraternity and Chi Omega sority聽 chapters of the Utah State University were charged聽聽 with felony hazing after an 18-year-old freshman聽 pledge Michael Starks died of alcohol poisoning聽聽 the December 2013 death of Chun Michael Deng聽 a 19-year-old freshman in pledge at the Barack聽聽
College’s Pi Delta Pi fraternity was officially聽 ruled a homicide by police The Pledge died while聽聽 at a weekend retreat at a rented home in the聽 Pocono Mountains with about three dozen fraternity聽聽 members from the New York City College if anyone聽 is thinking it is not as bad in the sororities聽聽
Then you probably have a very skewed view of聽 women and their potential for toxic Behavior so聽聽 some of the other rules for engagement uh don’t聽 follow the trend but also fit in the certain聽聽 mold you know the certain mold that is abstract聽 arbitrary and unspoken don’t stand out but be
Remembered I understand in this documentary聽 how why the girls were so riddled with anxiety聽聽 about going going through this process like what聽 kind of direction is that don’t stand out but be remembered [聽__聽] how the how the [聽__聽] am聽 I supposed to do that and then the last one聽聽
That I noticed in this was make sure your聽 social media is pretty and perfect and then聽聽 also don’t talk about the 5 BS you don’t want to聽 ask people who are already in Greek life who are聽聽
Already members of a sorority you don’t want聽 to ask them about the 5bs and you also don’t聽聽 want to talk about the five BS on your social聽 media what are the five BS you ask well title
[Music] card so the 5bs are topics to not initiate聽 conversation about this really stood out to me聽聽 because this is directly what my adopted mother聽 taught me growing up I didn’t know this was you聽聽 know traditional like Southern bell sorority girl聽 uh rules but the the five BS the first one is boys聽聽
Which basically means don’t ask people about their聽 relationship the boys they like this one’s very聽聽 interesting because as much as like these kind聽 these girls in sororities can get jealous over聽聽 guys it seems like you’d want to communicate the聽 guys that you’re interested in so that you make聽聽
Sure other girls aren’t interested in them too聽 it seems like but that’s too much information so聽聽 keep that private I think that’s interesting cuz聽 I’m I’m not sure how well if you don’t talk about聽聽 these 5bs with people in your life these topics聽 never come up I’m going to question how deep of聽聽
Friends you are because all of these things聽 they encourage you not to talk about because聽聽 these topics actually communicate something聽 subjective about who you are as a person and聽聽 we don’t want that honey like we don’t want that聽 honey we don’t want that honey we don’t want that聽聽
Honey right like you’re supposed to fit in but聽 be remembered right but not too unique another聽聽 reason they don’t talk probably don’t talk about聽 boys is probably for the other reason like I’m聽聽 thinking of it like I would want to tell my聽 friends guys I’m interested in so that they聽聽
Know I’m interested in them so they don’t become聽 interested in them right as like hey I’m looking聽聽 at this guy I think they look at at it as I don’t聽 want to let them know I’m interested because then聽聽 somebody might go steal them if that’s a聽 concern you have in your friendship group聽聽
I’m going to question how good those friendships聽 are that if you told your girlfriends about a guy聽聽 you’re interested in like one or a couple of them聽 would then try to woo him that’s not your friend聽聽
If you if you don’t know that and you’re watching聽 this video that is absolutely not your friend the聽聽 second one is booze so they don’t want you to talk聽 about drinking weird since you know they spend a聽聽
Lot of time drinking I think that was one of the聽 other rules is that they aren’t allowed to drink聽聽 when they have their letters on for their like聽 sorority and they’re not allowed to have alcohol聽聽 in the sororities but that rule doesn’t exist聽 for the boys and the boys clearly have always聽聽
Have a [聽__聽] ton of booze that’s why the boys聽 have to host the parties because you can’t drink聽聽 in the girl sororities three is uh Bible which聽 basically means religion right don’t talk about聽聽 religion this is also like religion and politics聽 is a well-known thing that people communicate like聽聽
Don’t talk about religion and politics I’ve always聽 thought that’s weird religion and politics again聽聽 it’s two things that communicate your value system聽 and what is important to you and I definitely want聽聽 to know the value systems of my friends that’s how聽 you build friendships and intimate relationships聽聽
Is through shared values the fourth one is bucks聽 so basically means how much money you make this聽聽 goes back to a very like old money tradition of聽 not talking about money it’s a Trope to be able聽聽
To tell the difference between like old money聽 and new money new money is going to talk about聽聽 it they’re very [聽__聽] right old money tends to be聽 a little bit more traditional a little subdued and聽聽 obviously they don’t want to talk publicly about聽 money that makes the social climbing a little bit聽聽
Harder means you have to like really do your聽 research to know what the hierarchy is because聽聽 no one’s going to tell you like yeah my dad’s a聽 billionaire and then the fifth one was Biden which聽聽 basically stood for politics again talking about聽 politics basically means you are sharing your core聽聽
Value system politics is directly connected to聽 your value system and morality which is why we聽聽 are seeing the current political system that聽 we are seeing right now we have social media聽聽 that is now created a space an environment for us聽 to all share our own individual and shared values聽聽
And they’re conflicting when Trump won and people聽 sto being friends with each other that’s because聽聽 people were learning for the first time where聽 they didn’t share values with other people it聽聽 may seem like people stop being friends just cuz聽 their friend voted for Trump and it’s like no the聽聽
Vote for Trump communicates more about what you聽 think is valuable and moral and that’s probably聽聽 why they stop being friends with you so again like聽 I mentioned all of these things are actually key聽聽 parts of who you are as a person so if you’re聽 not ever talking about them with your sisters聽聽
And your best friends for life then I’m question聽 questioning again how authentic and intimate and聽聽 deep and true those relationships really are聽 CU then you kind of don’t know the person do [Music] you so I loved that they actually brought聽 this up in the documentary it does show some very聽聽
Odd self-awareness one of the I think it was聽 one of the coaches which is a whole another聽聽 thing that they have [聽__聽] coaches I think it was聽 one of of the coaches that mentioned that this is聽聽 what is called a social stratification ritual聽 social stratification refers to a society’s聽聽
Categorization of its people into groups based聽 on social economic factors like wealth income聽聽 race education ethnicity gender occupation聽 social status and derived power social and聽聽 political and really all of those things listed聽 can really just be equated to power capitalism is聽聽
A system that is based on every everyone seeking聽 power no matter what over everything else at its聽聽 core in a philosophical way like that is our聽 psychological way like that is what capitalism聽聽 is social stratification is something we’re doing聽 all the time right you buy a certain car because聽聽
You want to be look you want to look a certain聽 way or you don’t drive your car certain places聽聽 or parts of town because you think you might聽 be judged that’s an aspect of societal control聽聽 and social stratification they’re literally聽 keeping you out of a part of town that you have聽聽
Every right to driveth through because you’re聽 embarrassed about your car that’s a control聽聽 mechanism so stratification basically talks about聽 where everybody fits in the hierarchy of a social聽聽 group or social setting or you know a social聽 institution so I was glad they mentioned this聽聽
Because that is absolutely what’s going on and I聽 didn’t know that there was actually like language聽聽 for this it’s kind of interesting the more that聽 I learn about things the more I realize like聽聽 oh they like know what they’re doing like the聽 people at the top of capitalism are are maybe聽聽
Not conscious conscious right because they’re聽 dealing with neurosis and other things but like聽聽 the information and data is there that they know聽 that like yeah this is a a social stratification聽聽 ritual that we’re putting our kids through at聽 18 so that they are successful because we care聽聽
About them and their future oh no we don’t want聽 to have a conversation with them or get to know聽聽 them as a person but we set them up to get into聽 this good college you know what I mean some other聽聽
Interesting things uh that I felt that got聽 mentioned is that this the sorority aspect聽聽 that perfect Sorority Girl is a contemporary聽 performance of the Southern bell be sweet right聽聽 they have this little kind of high pitch Airy聽 voice I call it the Arana well Ariana Grande聽聽
Can also like blow but maybe the Britney Spears聽 it’s the pop voice it’s the white girl pop voice聽聽 that’s a it’s all the air coming through all聽 the air so it’s a contemporary performance of聽聽 the Southern bell and it’s also competition it聽 is is it is competitive femininity I think is聽聽
What one of the ladies said and I was like oh my聽 God I love that competitive femininity that is聽聽 exactly what is going on you know we have beauty聽 pageants for a reason right lots of people who are聽聽 in beauty pageants are also in sororities there’s聽 connections between these personality archetypes聽聽
That are drawn to these things in society聽 patterns are we seeing patterns the ranking聽聽 system of sority houses is based on the men and聽 the frats which is based on who the men think are聽聽 the most eligible and hot women that’s really what聽 it comes down to it’s not even just how attractive聽聽
It’s also how eligible eligible eligible where聽 are they on the marriage status ranking right is聽聽 this a girl that like you have to seriously date聽 because she comes from a specific family and you聽聽
Can’t just like one night stand her or rap her聽 you need to know that if you’re a man that is聽聽 probably some of the most important information聽 as a fraternity like dude that you need to know聽聽
If you want to be successful is like who can you聽 sexually [聽__聽] with cuz that has its own class聽聽 status as well unfortunately did I lie did I lie聽 did I [聽__聽] lie if you are a woman from a higher聽聽
Class family from a family with a certain name聽 that does give you a form of protection in these聽聽 situations because the repercussions for the man聽 it would be a lot as well as the woman will still聽聽 be blamed it’s this very weird thing again they’re聽 very hypocritical the man will suffer private聽聽
Behind the scenes consequences that will be taken聽 care of within their Elite Community whereas the聽聽 woman may suffer public humiliation as well as聽 the trauma of that happening like the you know聽聽 but they don’t want it to go public so whenever聽 we see those things that gone public something聽聽
Has gone wrong I wrote here sorting between who聽 is a fling and a mistress and who is potential聽聽 match to create a Powerhouse marriage these women聽 have to be up to these men’s standards and I’m聽聽
Going to say men like this because these are boys聽 that are 18 192 Greek life is a self-governed the聽聽 government system of Greek life is replicated not聽 replicated it’s based off of Greek and Roman Life聽聽 and also how our current Empire of America is聽 organized top having a senate masses votes they聽聽
Even literally elect a king and queen which is the聽 weirdest thing to like elect a king and queen they聽聽 should yeah they it’s weird it’s weird king queen聽 president Emperor same thing to me unconsented聽聽 Authority but it is self governed and it is also聽 just about as corrupt as our normal [聽__聽] outside聽聽
Government institutions and situations because聽 these are literally uh boys and girls that are聽聽 18 to 22 they have no life experience right like聽 they bar like they just barely have a high school聽聽 education and like whatever their parents have put聽 into them or their nannies uh your peers decide if聽聽
You’ve broken arbitrary unlisted rules and their聽 decisions are rigged based on how much they like聽聽 you personally or how much your existence benefits聽 them yeah oh reading that out loud is like oh man聽聽 that’s deep like they’re literally doing they’re聽 encouraged to do that at 18 19 and I’m just聽聽
Imagining all of the horrific psychological聽 trauma that has been going on Within These uh聽聽 structures and institutions for um over 100 years聽 I think the sororities are segregated unless you聽聽 are passing so let’s be honest it’s great that聽 they integrated the sororities in 2013 uh 2013聽聽
Is when they were finally integrated but let’s be聽 honest they’re never going to be fully integrated聽聽 you’re not going to see a predominantly white聽 sorority have a bunch of black women from to be聽聽 honest the elite of the black community we have聽 our own class status structure within the black聽聽
Community so the Black Elite they are not going聽 to be rushing for an elite white sorority they聽聽 have their own sororities and their own system CU聽 I guess that’s what the Black Elite decided that聽聽
We were going to do as black people I didn’t get a聽 vote in that idea you know that concept there will聽聽 be some uh black people people of color in general聽 that will get into some of these sororities one聽聽
Because of what is supposed to be publicly and聽 socially acceptable that’s always important is聽聽 their image but also there are people that are聽 closer to whiteness if that’s is a thing that’s聽聽 the language people like to use they are wealthy聽 or they were raised by white people or they were聽聽
Raised around white people and mainly they were聽 wealthy or had access to Grants or scholarships聽聽 that give them access to this school oh yeah聽 and the last thing I put here is if you are a聽聽 person of color your opportunities in this social聽 game are going to be incredibly limited so your聽聽
Rules are different and you uh as a black person聽 will learn that your rules are different as you聽聽 break them it’s real fun real fun because the聽 rules are the same for you as the white people聽聽
And then there’s like an extra set of rules that聽 they’re not going to tell you you’re going to have聽聽 to you’re going to have to learn it’s a lot that聽 you have to like swallow to really be accepted聽聽
In those spaces and this is coming from someone聽 who not necessarily in a college space but in聽聽 other spaces have definitely been that black聽 person who was accepted when I was young and聽聽 ignorant and dumb and Looking Back Now like yeah聽 it is it was incredibly uncomfortable I was just聽聽
Unaware the depth of meaning of what was going聽 on and didn’t have enough information all right聽聽 let’s talk about the machine I love when they聽 brought up the machine because like it was like聽聽 it was like the thing I needed to find cuz I’ve聽 already studied so much about secret societies聽聽
The history of them and a lot of them that are聽 in the United States that when the machine came聽聽 up I was like like oh okay so I knew some stuff聽 started in college but like I didn’t know they聽聽
Had a name for it and like people would literally聽 like deny that it existed on camera um or that聽聽 people were brave enough who had been through it聽 to actually like speak out so let’s talk about the machine this is editor Britney’s disembodied聽 voice this video got a little long so I split聽聽
