Hi I am Jacqueline Lewis young I am the executive director for Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority Incorporated I remember arriving on campus and just meeting a group of awesome women that represented Alpha Kappa Alpha and I just knew I wanted to become a part of it service Sisterhood the two things that go together to make the organization what it is today I
Think it was an honor to be asked to come and represent our organization along with the rest of the divine nine we have six initiatives standing on the foundation to strengthen our Sisterhood we are empowering family building economic wealth uplifting our communities advocating for social justice and enhancing our environment
Black history is American history and we should celebrate it every day through our families through our schools our churches our communities there are many ways to celebrate Black History each and every day
