The Sigma Phi Chapter of Kappa Delta recently marked their 100th anniversary at the University of Georgia. Over 200 alumnae and 100 current students joined the chapter for a luncheon at the Athens Country Club. The KD members gathered to reminisce and celebrate a century of sisterhood and service.

The chapter was installed at UGA on March 22, 1924, marking the beginning of a legacy characterized by leadership, involvement, and a commitment to philanthropy.

“Being part of Kappa Delta has already filled my college journey with cherished memories. It’s inspiring to witness firsthand how the bonds of sisterhood extend far beyond our college years,” said Liza Adamik. “I’m grateful for the lifelong friendships and support system that Kappa Delta provides.”

Other festivities to commemorate the chapter’s anniversary on campus included a tour of Kappa Delta’s chapter home. These events were a celebration of the bonds formed within the Kappa Delta sisterhood and served as a tribute to the chapter’s history at the University of Georgia.

“My heart was full when I left and I am so blessed to be a KD sister,” said Meredith Johnson.

Kappa Delta was founded in Farmville, Virginia, in 1897. The organization has been dedicated to fostering good fellowship, friendship, and sisterly love among its members for over a century. To learn more about the Sigma Phi Chapter of Kappa Delta, visit https://uga.kappadelta.org/.
