Um myself in our viewing and listening audience um we are going to begin the broadcast with a uh some footage some video footage from a very special event that took place uh yesterday at the DNS Center in Lanham Maryland the DNS Center is also known as
The Turkish Center uh the one one of the gifts of tarkia uh to the United States is a beautiful Center a beautiful edifice um in fact we’re going to be showing you before the broadcast ends a photograph I believe of of the um of of the mosque the the Masjid
Complex within the uh uh the larger complex and um we’re also going to be showing just a little bit of uh a footage of of what was taking place outside in the the large Court area of this complex yesterday I mean it was very beautiful the atmosphere was uh
Uh was one that I wish every Muslim Community in America and indeed the world uh could Avail itself of uh but we’re going to show you a little bit of footage from that but but first we want to start out with some um with the opening remarks of the panel that presented yesterday
Uh at this very special event billed as the building blocks of Brotherhood in Islam uh without any further Ado let’s go ahead and begin that footage brother Sonic because articulated very important points I said they didn’t put on the boat I just wanted to emphasize foreign and you put yourself forward before them
Your opinion ideas whims before it comes to us from Allah the Quran from the messenger of Allah Yet it has been yet to let him go to school we can have other other than etiquette and consider a lot of messenger everything after that is going on though all of the subsequent rulings relating to how we deal with each other how we deal with rumors Scandal conquering backbinding all of these
Other things because there’s no Foundation that first verse is the foundation and everything else is built on that Foundation that Foundation is lacking then the other things thus will be extremely difficult all the meaning because either we’re doing it out of some as we would say ego trip or we’re
Doing it to give the appearance of being a people of adab and etiquette and expect for the rights of others but at the at the core there’s going to be some of your problems it reminds me about this of how some people they’re very enthusiastic about doing some things that all
Scholars will consider non-unitable so like the people as they missed the eight Salah it’s like their mother died but if they misfagger I shot it’s like mashallah it doesn’t bother them at all and so just the Illustrated So the point here uh whoever transgresses against one the highest part into my assistance my Aid my newness my love are the meanings of I declare a war against that transgressive party my servant does not go brought close to me with anything more beloved to me than

What Allah started with in this soil and that is what we call if we don’t have a taco one don’t have fear and consciousness of Allah then our relationship our relationships will never be at the level described by Allah to us and prescribed by Allah to us and prescribed
By the prophet salallahu so when you look at this Surah subhanallah it’s divided into each sections I’m just gonna give you a kind of mind mapping of the soil it starts with and this is a critical call to us as believers he said when every year in the Quran
Pay close attention to it after that it will be a Prohibition or a command something that is critical in your life as a Muslim so Allah started with first and foremost our relationship with him as the Creator and you warned us against inventive entity means is sufficient so don’t try to invent and
Come up with your own opinion and I would say over the say of Allah that’s the first step the second step in our relationship in our journey to Allah is our relationship with the prophet salallahu to the extent to the extent that Allah prohibited the companion of the Prophet
Saw Allah from Raising divorce when you are talking to the prophet salallahu so just the voice of and speak to him loud in a way that harms or hurt his hearing your age will be wound now imagine take that and apply it the prophet saws is not with us anymore
But his life and his Sunnah is with us so raising our opinion over the Sunnah of the Prophet salallahu would be similar to raising our voices but for him he is alive which means that when the Sunnah of the Prophet Allah comes to us we have nothing to say but we hear and
Glory then Allah in the third step talked about the deal in between cousins believe and what to do what not to do and then the Allah he without subhanallah is amazing without taking the characteristic of belief of the Believers even if they are fighting foreign Also remind the Believers of the origin after that where did they come from Adam and how well and then Allah emphasized that claiming to be Believers is not enough but to prove it with action and Allah with his own knowledge subhana with the heart of everything
So this is the basic you know framework and introduction to Suraj that the uh our guest has outlined for us today and we’re going to go through the spring work inshallah let’s try to benefit ourselves and our families and our communities and I think too before
We get into I think the first five verses which can be connected is that many of them and all the mad they also talk about the the organization right of by disorders right and why this particular sort of Falls after uh another sort of so we look at
Right the soda that comes before it right is sort of the fact right the the conquest right the conquest referring to the conquest of Mecca but if we look at by the very last verse of civil to fat right Allah says with the disbelievers but they have mercy amongst themselves right and then
This leads us by two that gives us this uh this this map right this framework this this blueprint right of how we can actually apply this right in our lives in our society right in fact right it talks about this character of Mercy is character of Mercy right it
Comprises of five direct addresses to the Believers right this call that you hear yeah you have in this very short sort of 18 verses right it mentions five times right and it also mentions five times right and it also mentions 10 prohibitions right Within These 18
Verses so insha Allah right we are going to touch a little bit on all of these areas which Allah um time permitted so we want to look at the the first five uh verses and I know that you know there was some explanation to that and following the uh the Quran following the
Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad but we definitely want to um hear a little bit more from our panelists about how we can actually apply that today in the 21st century right in the society in which we we live in has Allah says yeah you had Latina
All you who believe me not or do not uh put yourself before right Allah right in this messenger in fear Allah Allah your voices above the voice of the Prophet sallam you will speak loudly when addressing him as you speak loudly to one another lest your good deeds go
To waste without you knowing it um truly those who Lord their voices in the presence of the message of Allah those whose Hearts Allah has tested for their piety for their taqwa for them will be forgiveness in an immersed Rewards Surely those who call out to you from outside your dwellings most of them have no sense and if they had been patient until you came out to them it would have been better for them in Allah is for forgiving so let’s begin with those uh five verses
Inshallah let’s talk about how we can uh actually apply these verses right to the Muslim woman today so any of our families The first thing that we see in these few verses and the first thing that catch actually at this or the beginning of the Surah is the call of Allah the hall is specific to the Believers this this part this few verses direct us as Believers those who believe in Allah
As their lord and Muhammad as their message the second thing is that means the beginning of everything or anything so which means don’t make in between what Allah commanded or in front of Allah the command of Allah and in front of the command of the Prophet Allah don’t make your opinion don’t make
Your word over the world of Allah and the word of the Prophet saws what does it mean to us nowadays and we see a lot of this may Allah protect us a lot of people would say that what happened during the time of the Prophet saws is in regards or in
Accordance to the environment that was there so it may not be applicable nowadays and there are plenty of examples in addition to this people may say that we are in the Western World this is a different it’s completely different Sharia atom of the applied the rules cannot be applied they have to be
Manipulated a little bit they have to be changed and there are different conditions when Allah revealed the Quran and he told the prophet saw Allah when you talk to him we have sent you to all mankind and mercy to all mankind including the Jinn as well so
Not just to the people around you which means in itself it’s the message embedded in there is that the prophet sallam is the last prophet and whatever he came with should be applied and should be practical from then until the end of the time until the day of
Judgment and then Allah showed also following that a test what is this to you you only be able to apply it if you have height in your heart if you are a true sincere Muslim you will be able to apply the rules of Allah and not to
Put your opinion over that and so on so forth To the fifth verse if anyone wants to Circle that the second third and they can do that so A lot of times mentions again to the Believers yeah and so all you Believers talking to us if some corrupt Source comes to you with some news and verify it
Get clarity on it so in terms of our modern contemporary situation uh they have voice stimulation software they have issue recognition software we know they just had the Hollywood they still have the writers but the actors are still on strike one of the major issues is who’s going to own their energy
Because they can take the image and then make a whole movie so that the bottom line they we’ve had problems between Muslims at a time we really need to to be one unified uh Community against those who are against us so they’ve had just a sentence and it’s created dissension and fitness
Because it wasn’t verified uh it wasn’t considered the facet the corrupt obligate source that brought it and it’s created Havoc the Black Panthers were torn apart by redacted like FBI Files most of it was blacked out and just from the Snippets between what was redacted there are people killing
Each other you know the Alex Rackley murder and live in Connecticut it tore the Panthers apart so when they have any of us giving a whole speech about some nonsensical dangerous stuff what are they going to be able to do if we don’t take these uh Commandments prohibitions in this Divine guidance seriously
Will never be able to generate the critical mass necessary to save our people at a time our people are literally grown the diseases of Despair in an all-time high alcoholism opiate addiction heroin addiction ecstasy and all this stuff suicide an all-time high people are crying out for his men
The crying out for help and their only help is the help that Divine guidance wanted give them the only Pure Source if we got Divine Guidance with the Muslim that’s why there’s so much attention on getting in this area getting the Muslim to get down with the lgbtqi plus agenda getting the Muslims
To ease up on this and compromise that so at a time you really need to have a unified stand and there’s always certain things but really big things they’re going to be producing fake videos they’re going to be producing fake lectures they’re going to be producing
Things of some of us saying to others things we never said and so we don’t take this serious as a commandment get clarity clarify it was going to happen that you you uh seriously womb and afflict people out of ignorance not out of knowledge out of ignorance
And then when the truth manifests itself but it’s too late right the damage is done on the front page with a patriot and the corrections on the back page with no picture and one little paragraph and no bold headline or when the truth is manifested and you will become remorseful over what
You have done so may Allah bless us to really take the discipline seriously because we’re heading for some interesting and unprecedented myself things that have never occurred in human history alone I mean I mean the cross and I want to just um Circle back around too because you know we’re talking about
The the building blocks of Brotherhood in the Slam in you know for me you know as you know a my new student of knowledge when I hear these you know five verses uh these first five verses I I automatically think of leadership about leadership and you know the leadership within the
Um the the Muslim communities right and how it was actually structured by during the time when Prophet Muhammad why and how is that organizational structure of leadership you know passed down right so for the rest of the panelists you know can we tie these uh first five verses into just leadership
You know because again it’s you know uh it’s connected to you know Allah is connected to the message of Allah right and of course that means you know the the Quran in his Prophet Muhammad so how important why is that today you know with building uh this this framework of a Brotherhood um
Foreign really brings to mind we were going now with articles of intelligence and such um very Risky Business not that we can’t benefit from it but in some of the implications where we’re at a point now we are artificial intelligence already has the ability to mimic our voices to mimic our images
And to create videos where it looks like us but it’s not us right I don’t know if we’ve seen this uh circulated there’s a uh AI has mimicked the voice has been bad there’s AI you saw it right yeah but it’s not new it’s closed up if you
Really listen to the you know his voice you can tell the nuances but it’s not far off and uh the next one we need will remain nameless but um AI also mimicked a well-known Islamic personality in our country in Iman in a well-known sister right prominent speaker and then it mimicked a phone
Conversation between the two of them as though it was an expose right so you know to the shakespoint I mean we definitely have to be conscious you definitely have to be conscious and verify as needed as as we they mentioned of earlier and Sheikh Muhammad May mentioned us earlier
That this chapter it is a a medny chapter and it being a Melody chapter it means that it was revealed after the Hijra of the messenger of Allah immigrated into Medina and if we’re speaking to the the topic of leadership we we have to think about
What was it that the messenger of Allah began to put into place as he settled into Medina and from here what it brings to mind I mean all of us are well aware of the fellowship that the messenger of Allah between right that that fellowship and in order
To establish the society upon good standing even in the beginning of it he tied them so closely together that if one of them passed away then the other was to inherit from the one that passed away until that was abrogated in order to get them set up but when the
Messenger of Allah is coming into Medina a message is established the first message of a they come into into Medina and of course at that time Uber was on the outskirts of the Medina but today it’s included inside of Medina with the expansion uh of Medina so he enters into Medina and
From the first things that take place we we see that there’s land there’s land owned by Silence of Hill the message of Allah purchases the land and uh there were some eight times and such they cleared some of that out and they they build the Masjid that is the
Prophet’s Masjid as we call it today and we understand from this from a leadership standpoint of the messenger of Allah I offended that one of the first acts that he did was establish ownership established assets established endowments that can benefit Islam and benefit the Muslims the message of Allah instead of owned real
Estate and after constructing that we also see that he built home for his wife so he owned his home and he was able to provide shelter for his family but something else to mention about them when you go rewind the clock back a little bit further and right before the Hijra into Medina
Right around the 11th year the 12th year of the beta of the uh the messenger ship of the Prophet saws You have the pledge of the mountain pass the first in in the second we uh the the and saw the president of Medina our community college and things like that in the meeting with the message of Allah I send them and they embracing the slam one year they come
They’re about 12 of them or so they come another year it’s about 70 of them or so that come meaning that it’s even more than back in Medina is sent down to to teach them and such but uh the point that we’re looking to make is that they were negotiating and establishing
What is leadership and the support of his leadership is going to look like in Medina and one of the things that they agreed upon was as a part of his undertaking the governance of the Islamic State and the governance of Medina was that the messenger of Allah would have the majority share
Two of the primary Commodities of Medina of that time which was the date market and the Voldemort so the message of Allah he had the majority share of control in the date Market as well as in the gold market and we have this idea that the message of Allah was like or or
Something he was actually wealthy we know about his marriage because in the business that he did with her but coming into Medina wealth is increased and in understandings what we’re getting at is that they were speaking to leadership we’re speaking to influence we’re speaking to establishing power
And at the base of power is economics establishing an economic base for ourselves and after an economic base is established as the message of Allah did for himself and for the unsolved that we see in the sea law after that then we see that we need to enter into
The judicial we need to enter into the laws of the society and we see that the majority of laws that are taking place in Islam as many laws are here are established during the During the medny period and once now we are shifting the laws to
Our favor and we have the economic base to do so because we can we can employ we can buy we can rent otherwise the lease whoever we need to bend things so that we can live our lives in a Wholesome Way well then we can move on to Media
As we see with the messenger of Allah is spreading The Message of Islam outside of Medina and if we get there as we come to a close then we can get to the last step in accruing power through the example of the leadership of the message of Allah that’s education
We we need to be educated of course and we have this understanding that education comes first and it’s not that it doesn’t come first it’s that we have to have everything in place to properly Empower our education so that we can apply our education in the way that we want Education Without
Economics and finance Education Without proper laws around it to support it education without the media that is needed to spread the message so that we can control all narrative may not be as strong all of this we see examples of in the life of the message of Allah we have one more
Um one else wants to speak about leadership very quickly now I must say brothers and sisters uh friends that did not go the way that I the way that I had intended it to go I I really wanted for the uh the the opening of today’s broadcast to be
The voices of each one of the panelists making their introductory remarks we you know when when you’re rushing and and this was on me let me just say this was on me because uh I didn’t get back home uh soon enough uh to be able uh to um convey
The direction of today’s broadcast um as as clearly uh as I normally would and so again that didn’t go the way that it it it it that I wanted it to go it I really wanted uh our audience to be able to hear from each one of the speakers
Delivering their introductory remarks at yesterday’s Forum so that you could have gotten the taste of how each one of these uh really extraordinary Brothers committed Brothers how they think how they articulate their ideas on this very very important issue um you know um was the primary focus uh of that um
Of yesterday’s discourse and you know for those of us who are familiar with that chapter of the Quran it is a very very important chapter it has uh political intonations it uh it it it cuts to the heart of you know things that we should be conscious of as Muslims in order to
Preserve in order to strengthen our Brotherhood our brother and when I say Brotherhood I’m including the sisters as well and and you know strengthening our fraternity and working through not only the natural internal challenges that can come up within any type of human polity but uh you know also
Helped to help us navigate our way through the external challenges that also uh come into the mix to create divisions and and um and what have you uh Among Us is it’s a very important chapter of the Quran for addressing how to resolve uh issues that arise between and among
The Muslims and so this was the area of focus and I really wanted our audience to be able to hear from each one of these uh brothers that were a part of the discourse yesterday now your brother silicon was just a fly on the wall it had nothing to do with the
Organizing of the event it was an amazing event the the primary uh um uh person uh behind it was brother Tariq uh Evangel Lang he was the one who uh called everyone together he was uh but alhamdulillah the brothers and sisters who responded uh they collectively uh
Made that very important program on this very important issue successful it was well attended on a beautiful day and in fact um well I there was another little piece of video that I wanted to share today from uh the the the outside atmosphere uh well we could share it go ahead uh
Brother Sonic showed that that piece of video of all of the brothers and sisters on the outside uh in the courtyard of uh that uh magnificent Center please All right Good morning Two more hours Foreign Was taking place in the auditorium of the cultural center of This Magnificent uh uh piece of property uh a gift from Turkey uh to the uh the Muslims the Muslim Community of the United States and and and and Beyond this is something that is accessible to even non-muslims this um
You had all of these Muslims on the outside representing many different tribes enjoying themselves families uh husbands wives children uh grandparents uncles aunties cousins I mean just really enjoying themselves and it was a beautiful beautiful day one of the things that ran through my mind as I
Was um walking about in the open courtyard was you know how unfortunate it is that um so many other communities uh both here and abroad don’t have access to this type of of atmosphere and um especially our brothers and and sisters who uh are impacted by conflict and that are in Conflict zones
Of our making subhanallah uh of the making of of wrong-headed human beings among them wrong-headed Muslims not just non-muslims who hate Muslims in Islam but even wrong-headed Muslims quote unquote uh who do terrible things at the expense of their own people in their own countries but uh let me
Bring today’s abbreviated broadcast to a conclusion by also referencing something else I I like I said I I was there as a support for yesterday’s event I made remarks uh at the end of uh the program to as I normally like to do or remind our brothers and sisters not to forget our
Political Prisoners the responsibility that we have to them as I often say don’t wait for something like this to happen to you or to someone that you love before you become concerned and I made special mention of the fact that we are planning um a five another five series
Mobilization for our sister in Islam drafia Siddiqui with the hope with the prayer that uh this will be the last one needed for our sister that we can have her back home where she belongs before she marks 21 years in March of 2024. so

Our sister in New York where she was put on trial and given that horrendous 86-year sentence uh have one in Boston uh where she spent most of her American years graduating with honors from MIT and Brandeis and we’re going to have our final mobilization in the nation’s capital itself Washington D.C so that
Um in addition to wanting to be there to just support the event and to be a witness of yesterday’s event I was also there to share that message and to encourage the leaders who were present and to encourage our brothers and sisters who were present in significant numbers alhamdulillah uh that that this
Is coming down the pike and we need you there you we need your presence uh to show your to not just yet to demonstrate to show your support for your sister in Islam then we handed out the Flyers that we were Distributing also at the Isla convention the flyer the very attractive
Flyer that our um um our sister Maisha one of the the board members designed with information on afia on one side and information on Imam Jameel Abdullah al-ameen another president setting case on the other side let me conclude with this I was I came to the event yesterday directly
Via Amtrak all right from Union City New Jersey I was there to deliver the Joe mahutba at the North Hudson Islamic education center it’s like my you know one of my homes away from home I’m very close to that Community uh Imam Mohammed Sheikh Muhammad Musa and the administration of
Nhiec have been very supportive of their brother Salah Khan’s human rights work for years consistently supported uh supportive so that’s one of my homes away from home and they were having you know this is uh Hispanic Heritage Month and this and this is a very interesting
Month it’s a month that begins in the middle of the month it begins on September 15th and it runs to October 15th and the reason why uh it it it it’s structured in this way from September uh to October 15th is because this was the the date that a number of uh
Of countries in the global south Costa Rica El Salvador Guatemala Honduras and Nicaragua um who were then known I don’t know if they still are known as the central uh American Federation but they were known as this then that’s when they declared their independence from Spain uh on
September 15 1821 so this marks uh the that declaration of independence from Spain I should also note as I did during the khutba that uh on September 16th Mexico declared its independence uh Chile on um September 18th and Belize uh uh declared their independence on September 21st now um
The national observance began in 1968 as Hispanic heritage week uh to celebrate the contributions and and diverse uh diverse cultures of the Latin American Community it became Hispanic Heritage Month in 1988. so this is what had me in New Jersey I I uh not only you know because
If it had not been for the event yesterday that I was already committed to and I got a mix-up in in dates I I thought it was coming up next weekend uh but it was actually this weekend um if it had not been for this I would have
Remained in Jersey in fact that’s what I uh originally planned to be in Jersey for to to celebrate this uh this this day this event with my my Spanish-speaking brothers and sisters uh in uh North Jersey uh so um but alhamdulillah I’m sure in fact I’ve
Already heard uh from my sister Wendy uh Diaz that it was a beautiful event as I’m sure it was uh alhamdulillah the rain stopped it was pouring rain uh on on the day that I arrived I I arrived on Thursday and I was there through Friday I left Saturday morning to come back
Home and uh yeah that uh uh Thursday and Friday it rained and it rained and it and it rained but Hungary yesterday I understand was a beautiful day um in my kudman I’m going to end on this note in my you know the Imam had asked
Me if you know he said uh brother you know Marie there’s there’s uh at the first Juma you know there are two jumas at this Center at the first Juma they’re going to be a good number of um of Muslim youth you know especially uh uh you know um
Uh middle school and high school age youth that he wanted me to convey a special message to uh and and I did um hungry learn I’d like to end on this note to all of the other young Muslims out there and and and those of us who are young at heart
Uh uh you know it’s it’s a good reminder um first of all and then and I forgot to mention this during the uh during the Hood by meant to end with the words of the Mexican philosopher Antonio Castle he had a very interesting social theory of existence he divided Humanity into
Two categories one he termed as extension or existence as the economy and the other law as extension or existence as Charity he was of the opinion and I agree with him that the vast majority of folk in the world fall under economia you know they’re like politicians you
Know I mean we’re capable of doing good but only after a careful assessment of what the benefit will be for me you know what how does it serve my interests that’s the way most not all but the vast majority of politicians are they get do a careful assessment how is
This going to affect me no matter how good it might be if he perceives or she perceives there to be some degree of risk in it you know they might be tend to avoid it but those who fall under the category of Allah as extension you know they’re like the fruit-bearing
Trees in the orchard you know when when when an apple tree the fruit of on an apple tree becomes ripe if you don’t pick it it’ll fall to the ground because it has to give it it has to give it’s the nature of of an of a fruit-bearing tree to give
Fruit will just fall to the ground um there are human beings who are like that that we should strive we should all strive those of us especially those of us who who are uh who are God-fearing I mean sincerely God-fearing we want to please our Lord irrespective of what name we call the
One God by we want to please our Lord uh on the day that you know our our we take our last breath we want God to be pleased with us um but in addition to that you you also want to do good because you know
It’s it’s good to do good it you know you just want to do good because it’s the right thing to do this is a way that you want to be this is the way that uh my my young brothers and and sisters both Muslim and non-muslim I want to encourage you to be
Conscious of and in order for this to happen and and this is one of the main things that I uh emphasized with the uh young Brothers and sisters who are present toward the end I I reminded them of the the Five Points let me see if I can pull
