Uh things were cool for a little while but then here came Alexander the Great and he conquered that land but Alexander died without any HS and so he left four generals for them to squabble over the land and two of them decided to uh make
A chest piece uh out of uh out of Judea and so they ruled that space for a while U the saloa ruled but then the Jews did come back into Power uh the maban revolt and the that’s actually where the Jews get Hanukkah from they celebrate the
Um uh the victory that they had um over uh the over the helenistic folks then they couldn’t get along and guess what then the Romans swept it and so by the time we find uh when Jesus is born in the crucifixion you know we talk about
Today uh being a hot mess in terms of all the polarization uh I tell you what um today has nothing on first century Palestine I mean you had uh various political parties you had the Pharisees you had the Sadducees you had uh the essens you had the zealots and guess
What they all had a various opinion on how the scripture should be interpreted um they again Rome I mean Palestine was under Roman rule um and they were taxed heavily again doesn’t that sound like today and you know what they had these expectations they had these strong expectations of the Messiah and again
Like today uh a lot of cultural diversity if you know anything about when Jesus was hung on the cross is King of the Jews was written in three languages Latin Greek and Aramaic okay so uh and then you had you had people who are extremely rich and you had
People who were extremely poor so as um um as it says in the Book of Ecclesiastes there’s nothing new Under the Sun but this was the context into which Our Savior was crucified and now let me talk about most importantly the Redemptive history which all that this
Stuff is nice and fills in the blanks but again as I mentioned that with the crucifixtion that is the Capstone of the redemp of the Redemptive history all of the Old Testament looks forward to the Cross we look back to the Cross you know many of us get paid on Friday well guess
What Good Friday was the ultimate payday but thank God we didn’t have to pay it Jesus Paid it on our behalf so with that as a background we want to we want to welcome you and uh we’ll go ahead and I’ll go ahead and introduce uh our speakers who will be

Gathers uh it is finished uh Minister Keith Davis and then uh bringing us uh home is uh Reverend uh Dr Millie Johnson father into thy hands um I commit my spirit so so amen so uh after me you’ll hear the translation and then after that you’ll hear sister Linda Jackson Good evening buen I’m a little nervous but like Pastor I keep thinking about his sermon Sunday We Do It For [Applause] You Were You There When They Crucified My Lord Were You There When They Crucify My Lord Oh sometimes it causes me to tremble tremble tremble Were You There When They Crucified My Lord They say that Jesus was beaten beyond recognition that he was Mo that he was spat on humiliated and yet Christ hung on the cross for all Humanity they say on his head they placed a crown of thorns and Thorns were a result of sin’s curse in the Garden of
Eden so unbeknownst to the guards they wo a crown of Thorns they placed that crown of the curse on Christ’s head the deliverer from the curse and in all of the cross’s horror there was great Beauty because as Christ cried and was hung as he was hung on that cross and
His sacred sacrificial blood flowed our high priests began to intercede he said father forgive them for what they do I thought it was interesting he didn’t in that sentence say God forgive them God a word that depicts God he is deity he didn’t say Lord forgive them the word that declares his
Supremacy he said father forgive them a word that declares relationship a word that denotes intimacy a word that denotes trust confidence a heart of love to a heart of love for those he loved they say that uh the greatest one of the greatest virtue that a person can have in the
Midst of intense pain is love father forgive them some of you may say well who was he praying for who’s them was it the Jewish leaders who prided themselves in their knowledge of the word And yet when the word stood before them they did not know it caught
Up in pride and arrogance and jealousy they cried for his crucifixion was that the guards who put the nails in his hands ignorant of who he was but they knew he was an extraordinary man but yet they followed the commands of man instead of the commands of God was it pilate the Roman
Governor that he prayed for who saw before him an innocent man but when his title and position was threatened he said crucify him or was it the crowds the people that he came for I love in John 1 where he says he came to his own
And his own received him not so they mocked him and they spat on him well his prayer this is the answer it is for all of them and more than that that prayer extends beyond the people who were there that day to every one of you
To every one of us who’ve ever received the precious forgiveness of Christ Jesus for after all it was our sins all of Humanity’s sins that put him on that cross it is for sin that Jesus died he prayed a sin debt that you and I could
Not pay that we might be saved he exchanged his life for our life his sinlessness for our sinfulness and because of this great Mercy though we could never repay we want to model what he did so God says that in Matthew 6:14 he says that if we forgive those
Who sin against us he will forgive us but this is interesting but if we do not forgive those who sin against us he will not forgive that causes me to tremble and I want to conclude with an illustration God brought to me when I was doing this study hadn’t thought
About it from year for years I’m a girl of the 60s in the summer of May n or the spring of May of 1969 I was a senior in college it was a festive time the sororities and fraternities were having Rush parties and me and my girls
We were trying to attend all of those parties now I went to a historically black college so they didn’t play we had a curfew and we were to be in at a certain time but because we were having fun we decided we would stay out and
Break the rules now there was a side door in our dorm that all those girls who broke the rules came in through that side door so when we were ready to leave the party we came through that side door But as God would have it our resident manager stood right there greeting us
She said hello ladies follow me so we walked down to her office sitting there before her and she gave the Mandate she said each of you for the rest of the school year will be in the dorm at 6:30 weekdays weekends your evening lives have ended you will be in the dorm at
6:30 and she said Linda because you are a senior you will not march with the graduation in the graduation your diploma would be mail to you my Earthly father got word of that he drove three hours to Arkansas amn in and he took me to lunch that day and I
God brought it all so clear hadn’t thought about it for years my father didn’t say to me oh Linda how could you what is wrong why would you do my dad just looked at me and he said Linda I am so disappointed in you his eyes were filled with tears and
I seldom saw my father cry but that day he cried and so did I and all I could say was Dad forgive me and he said you are forgiven but you will honor what they have told you you will be in that dorm by 630 but he said to me but you
Will March in that graduation he took me back to the dorm and as I got out of the car I saw my father Park walk across that college campus to president Davis’s office and all I can say to you is that in the spring of May
1969 I walked across a stage I marched with my class I received a diploma and as I took that tossle and threw it to the other side I looked out into a sea of people like you and I saw my father’s face smiling proud but why God brought
That to me I saw something so much more this time our heavenly father who sees our sin it Grieves him greater than the pain of me coming at 6:30 now I grieve because of the grief I cost my father’s heart and yet he is forever interceding
For us so that you and I will one day walk into the throne room and like pastor says in the book of Jude he will present us blameless before his throne of glory and this is one last thing I also began to realize see my parents weren’t wealthy they took loans out for
Me and my sister to get an education so that we could have a better life see we were living in the South some of you know what I mean a degree meant certain freedoms so my father and my mother mortgaged things took out loans but because of my immaturity at the time it
Didn’t mean anything to me it wasn’t my debt it wasn’t my loan it was my father’s and so I thank you Reverend Kenny for having me re revisit this because as many times as we hear about the cross and what he did I had to realize do I really understand see it
Wasn’t our body that was torn it wasn’t us that was spat on and humiliated it was him and so now it means more as we grow to understand and we want to honor him as the best we can and so I must say yes we were all There When They

Perhaps forgotten to do something you said you would do think about that Luke 23:43 and Jesus replied I assure you today you will be with me in Paradise this statement was made by Jesus while hanging on a cross for our sins enduring extremely excruciating pain made in
Response to a request made by one of the thieves hanging on his own cross beside him this thief although he had previously been in unison with the other thief in mocking Jesus in Matthew 27 something within him changed this change was evident when he protested to the other Thief don’t you
Fear God even when you have been sentenced to die we deserve to die for our crimes but this man has done nothing wrong then this man makes his request to Christ Jesus Remember me when you come into your king Kingdom Jesus statement to the thief was not just a declaration of
Salvation it was a promise why do I keep call it a promise simply because the event of the thief being in the presence of Christ in Paradise hadn’t happened yet the dictionary defines the word promise as a declaration that one will do or refrain from doing something
Specified the Greek word for promise I hope I pronounce this right epel means to declare a pledge that is fitting leave it to God to know what is fitting for his people amen but unlike man unlike us we’re fickle flawed and we don’t always keep our word but but God is always
Faithful and never fails to keep his promises we know that Jesus fulfilled his promise to the thief because of what Jesus said to the disciples before his death in John 14 in my father’s house are many mansions if it were not so I would have told you I go to prepare a
Place for you and if I go to prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you to myself that where I am you may be also I read an I read an online article that someone took the time to count to go through scripture and count all the
Promises in scripture check this out this person counted over 7,000 promises made from God to man over 7,000 now some are made to specific people but others are made to all who are saved now I’m not going to get up here and name all 7,000 I I don’t have that kind of time
But for starters we can go to Romans 10:13 which says whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved how about a familiar passage of scripture John 3:16 for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not
Perish but have everlasting life God promised his provision in Matthew 6:33 seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and he will provide everything you need God promised his presence in John excuse me Joshua 15 I will never leave you nor forsake you God is the central promise
Giver in the Bible amen we know that God can be trusted numbers 23:19 says God is not a man that he should lie nor the son of man that he should rep repent Psalm 1382 says he exalts his word over his name second corini 1:20 because we know that his
Promises are true it says for all the promises of God in him are yes and amen the second part of Hebrews 23 says for He Who promised is faithful if we ever need to be reminded of God’s track record we can look back on how God successfully LED his people to the promised
Land Joshua and his winter years spoke these words to the Israelites in Joshua 23:14 and you know that in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you all have come to pass and
Not one word of them has failed God promised his love for us because he is love his great love is why Jesus died for us Romans 58 says that he died while we were yet sinners and nothing can block or hinder or diminish this wonderful love Romans 8
Says for I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor demons nor the present nor the future nor any powers nor height nor depth nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our
Lord so when we’re going through some hard times even when the hard times are our fault just know if you’re in Christ he can be trusted he is faithful amen [Applause] Ju [Applause] good evening even John Chapter 19 Verse 26 says when Jesus saw his mother standing there
Beside the disciple whom he loved he said to her dear woman here is your son and he said to the disciple here is your mother so from that hour this disciple took her into his house home in these verses we find an important message that
Can teach us a lot of things in life Jesus is on the cross going through so much pain but still he looks out for his mother Mary and his friend John Jesus didn’t think about himself even though he could have even though he had a reason
To even through his pain he made sure Mary would be taken care of after he was gone he asked John to look after her showing how much he cared about his family and Friends sticking together especially when things get tough this part of the Bible teaches us about the
Importance of community and familiar familial support about being kind and looking out for each other when life gets hard being selfless as much as possible but most definitely in times of trial it’s all about showing love and support just like Jesus did for Mary when with things in the world as
They are today it is Extreme ex easy for all of us to feel alone to feel like we’re the only ones going through bad things to feel like no one cares about our suffering but we have never been meant to navigate through life alone we’re suppos we’re supposed to lean on
Each other for help and comfort these verses serve as a reminder of the sacrificial love Jesus demonstrated by his actions on the cross we should be able to count on each other for help and comfort even in the middle of what feels like our biggest trial trials just like Jesus did for his
Mother and his friends we need to remember to be there for each other just like Jesus was for Mary whether it’s giving a hug lending a hand or just being a good listener we can make a huge difference by showing love and kindness to those those around us thank you for When Jesus hung on C people oh came from Mouse to seea they said if if you be the Christ then come down and sa your Al oh but Jesus my sweet Jesus he never answer the for he knew yeah that old Satan was T take him for if he had come down from the cross then my soul but still be lost for if he had come down from the

In the beginning with God verse 14 stes of that same chapter and the word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory the glory as of the only begotten of the father full of grace and truth and then Verse 18 says no one has
Seen God at any time the only begotten son who is in the bosom of the father he has declared him so we know that Jesus Christ the God man the word of God In the Flesh was with God since he even created time as we know it and Jesus
Said of himself in John 10 and3 I and my father are one but there was a real issue as there’s always an issue with man that is there was a sin debt that had to be paid since sin had now entered into All Mankind through Adam and Eve that sin
Offering better known as the purification offering was the blood of animals applied to people places and inanimate objects to mark them as acceptable before God Hebrews 9 and22 tells us that according to the law almost all things are purified with blood blood and without the shedding of
Blood there is no remission of sin these people in objects were not unacceptable because they had necessarily done any evil but because they were imperfect they fell short of the Holy Perfection that God’s presence required because God cannot have sin in his presence the sin offering was a about purification for access to
God the problem with the blood of animals was that it could not resolve the moral and spiritual sin of mankind Hebrews 104-7 reads for it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins therefore when Jesus came into the world he said sacrifice and offering you did not
Desire but a body you have prepared for me in burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you had no pleasure then I said behold I have come in the volume of the book it is written of me to do your will oh God so Jesus wrapped himself in flesh
To do the will of the father and I’ll take a look with me here on a hill in golgatha where we see Jesus who gave a New Covenant in his blood which was shed for you and me has been beaten and hung on the cross in the gospel of Mark 15:
33-34 the scripture says now when the sixth hour had come there was Darkness over the whole land until the night hour and in the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice saying Eli Eli Lama saak which is translated my God my God why have you forsaken me in this
Circumstance here Jesus calls him God not as he was God but as he was man and Christ as as man prayed to him as his God believed in him loved him and obeyed him as such and though now God hid his face from him yet he expressed strong faith and confidence to
God when he is said to be forsaken of God as the term is used the meaning is not that the hypothetical Union was dissolved there was still the Trinity the father Son and Holy Ghost the but the fullness of this godhead still dwelt bodily in him the fullness of the godhead still
Dwelt bodily in him nor was he separated from the love of God he had the same interest in the Father’s Heart and faith both as the son and as the mediator as ever nor was the principle and habit of joy and comfort lost in his soul as man
But he was now without a sense of the gracious presence of God and was filled with a sense of divine wrath which Mankind’s iniquities he now bore deserved and which was necessary for him to endure in order for m in order to make full restitution
Of man for one part of the punishment of sin is loss of the divine presence of God for the first time in the annals of time God the father had to turn his back on his beloved Son who had become sin for us because God could not have sin in
His presence for all time as I said in the beginning was the word but for all time Jesus had never been separate from his father but now faced the suffering of God’s Wrath on the sins of the whole world there was a disconnect of the conscious Union of his human soul and
The light of God’s countenance this cry my God my God why hast Thou forsaken me was not from physical Agony but from the abandonment and desertion he felt in his soul Jesus was hung on the cross at the third hour or 9:00 a.m. and he stayed
There for six whole hours from the 6th hour to the 9th hour from 12:00 p.m. to 300 p.m. God enveloped the world in in darkness while he poured out his wrath on his son Jesus he who knew no sin became sin for us so Jesus hung on the
Cross for 6 hours during the first three hours there was physical light from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. during the second 3 hours there was physical darkness in the first three hours there was spiritual darkness in the second three 3 hours there was excuse me spiritual light why
In the first three hours man did his worst they mocked him they reviled him and they ridiculed him but in the second three hours God was working Jesus suffered at the hands of men for the first three hours but he suffered four men in the last 3 hours in
The first 3 hours he was dying because of sin in the second three hours he was dying for the sin of the world in the first three hours sin was doing all it could do to destroy him in the second three hours he’s making his soul an
Offering for sin in this second three hours he is paying our sin debt because he became sin for us he was forsaken of God and yet even even at that time God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself [Applause] amen [Applause] stay on this side because there’s a bug
Right there I don’t know if you guys can see that but um good evening everyone after this Jesus know knowing that all things were now accomplished that the scripture might be fulfilled saith I thirst it could be assumed that he was thirsting for water but was he really
Thirsting for that John 3:16 for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son to save us Jesus suffered on Earth so that we could live he thirsted not only for water but for our salvation he knew that this was the only
Way that we could make it to heaven and so he made this sacrifice his craving for thirst also shows his Humanity we have all been thirsty before whether it was due to a hot day in the Sun or a sporting event but The Thirst he felt was at a
Completely different level he is the Son of God and could have all things imaginable yet he chose to come to Earth and have Earthly design desires such as hunger and thirst like all of us now I thirst for many things the most obvious one is water but it goes much
Deeper than that my utmost desire is my thirst for a stronger relationship with God however I am a teenager with many distractions in my life I take rigorous High School courses play three Sports and the violin and and I am trying to figure out my future I struggle with time management
As my parents know for sure I am a very active person and I do have anxiety over what the future holds I thirst for the answers for all of my questions but the only way to truly quench my thirst is through God himself I try to commit to reading my
Bible every day but I usually only end up reading the daily scripture and occasionally truly read reading the word this year I have gotten a lot closer to God Sunday school has really helped me connect with who I am and who I want to be we’ve talked about the differences
Between being a Christian and being perceived as a Christian our role on this Earth is to spread God’s word and become as close to Jesus as possible we can post scriptures online all we want but if we are out with our friends cursing drinking and lying are we really honoring
Him we must honor him through our actions and words and in that way we quench his thirst I know there is more that I can do to strengthen my relationship with the Lord and I’m willing to make those changes to quench my thirst now I have a
Question for you all what do you thirst for is it Godly I know we can all make a little more time to quench that thirst we all have and like Jesus we can quench our thirst with the help of the Lord the people around Jesus didn’t help him in fact
They squeezed vinegar into his mouth hurting him even further when you encounter troubles in your life the only thing you can put all of your trust into is God we don’t know what his plan is but everything he does is for a reason it’s part of our
Journey our thirsts may not be quenched when we want them to be but they will be quenched when God wants them to be for us I know I can struggle with jealousy sometimes I admit I do sometimes look at others and wish I had what they have but
I ultimately know that what I want will arrive and it will arrive at the time I need it but it is important to know that not all of our thirst will be quenched if it is not godly or if it is not for us God
Will try to deter us from it but we have free will and it is ultimately up to us to choose him but also remember this if you are thirsting for something pray about it he will quench your thirst and Desires in ways that you wouldn’t have even thought
Of just believe in him and have than and have faith thank you spirit tries it is finished but say that like your meaning and understand what that cross represents it is finished the debt of sin is paid in full here we see in John 19 that Jesus discharged the father’s purpose for his
Life perfectly and before leaving the scene of his human struggle is flogged had a crown of thorns placed on his head he spit on he’s beaten they put a purple robe on him and said Jesus king of the Jews all of this to obey the will of the
Father and Jesus eventually states it is finished before giving up his Spirit now you need to understand something about this Jesus gave up his Spirit nobody robbed him of anything he gave up his Spirit but even in all that Jesus who was in control to the very end never
Loses sight of his mission even though he has gone through all of that he never loses sight of his mission and his final words for you and me are it is finished so I I I want to tell you a quick story I only have about 10
Minutes ge when we were in boot camp years ago we were in boot camp and the drill instructors when it got tough in the first you have three phases and matter of fact Marine Corps boot camp is the longest boot camp of out of any of those
Services so when you’re in boot camp you go to first phase they break you down second phase they break you down third phase they build you up so when you’re in these separate phases you have three three drill instructors and a senior drill instructor and when you start to
Struggle and when you feel like you can’t make it your drill instructors will come and encourage you they would say look at the end of this trip through boot camp you’re going to be a full-fledged Marine so I’m challenging you right now Tri y’all are those boot those boot uh drill instructors
And when you see your brother or sister struggling you got to let them know hey look the cross is there Jesus hung on that cross for you and I that that debt of sin is paid in full because it is finished it is finished are 12 letters
That make up three of the greatest words in the English language Jesus who states it is finished before giving up his Spirit lets us know that the debt of sin is paid and fo and that you and now now have the rights to go to the father when we are struggling
We no longer must wear the shackles of sin on our hands we no longer have to wear the shackles of sin on our feet our hearts and minds are no longer confined to going into a small booth and having someone give you hell marries to forgive
Your sins now if that works for you that’s fine but I just want to let you know you no longer have to do thaten we now have direct access to the father whom we can have an intimate relationship with because those three words allow us to do that what are those
Three words it is finished to place the debt of sin in being being paid in full here’s a little perspective for you how many of us have sinned in the first three months of this year roral don’t answer that don’t answer that don’t answer that how many of us have sinned this month
How many of us have sinned this week how many of us have sinned today but yet and still we have the right to come in here and ask God for forgiveness because church I want you to know the church is pregnant with sin but here’s where you come to get it
Fixed so don’t let anybody tell you they don’t believe in organized religion they can say that if they want to but you got to believe in the cross in Christ because those three words it is finished has paid that debt in full and I also want you to know
Something else church as I continue to go through this thing called life and you walk this walk with Christ in faith I don’t feel sorry for Christ on the cross I’m grateful that Christ was on the cross I’m blessed that he was on the cross I love everything about the cross and
I’m I’m so thankful that I didn’t have to bear that cup because God made him who had no sin to be sin for us that in him we might become the righteousness of God Amen and also I just think sometimes it is finished sounds kind of ironic because Jesus hanging on the
Cross in the flesh starts A New Beginning for those those who have confessed with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord and we believe in our hearts that God has raised him from the dead you shall be saved because with your heart you believe and are Justified and with your mouth you
Confess and are saved trium that’s excellent news we have a savior that not only bore the cup of the Cross but he also bore the cup you and I were supposed to suffer because God made him who had no sin to be Sinn for us that in
Him we might become the righteousness of God God has allowed the blood of Jesus to save us from our sins and the only way that can come back Triumph is if you decide to pick that up again that’s your choice God gives us free will when he
Put that the blood of Jesus on that cross that debt of sin was paid so you think you can pick it up because what happens is sin has the the the the ability to ens snare or entrap the one who’s in it so don’t think you’re strong
Enough just to I can do this one more time and it’ll be all right but you have to look to Jesus in order to make sure that you can conquer that sin through him and not on your own and also Trum stop giving the devil too much

Sins for the world’s sins as humans many times we struggle with being able to commit and today we celebrate the greatest example of one who committed his life for us you see Jes Jesus demonstrated a faith that seems impossible to emulate he trusted The God Who allowed him to endure the
Cross so if we could use our imaginations for just a minute we would see a sad and dark day but I came to let you know that that day did not stay dark because early on Easter Sunday morning Jesus got up with all power in his hands
And I am so glad that he got up for me he rose for me he rose for you he he got up with all power in his hand you see they hung him high they stretched him wide for four um help me Jesus he bowed his head and for me he died that’s

Matter that the Sadducees and Pharisees hated him it did not matter that Caiaphas plotted against him it did not matter that Jud Judas betrayed him he continued to press on and on and on and on you see Jesus’s last words were a spear of light that shattered the
Darkness he said father into your hands I commit my spirit you see those are not the words of a man who had suffered ultimate defeat those were the words of a man who was Victorious and putting his spirit in his beloved father’s hands and reunited with him in
Heaven he knew exactly where he was going and who who was going to be with he knew that Jesus his father Jesus knew that his father was waiting on him you see just as Jesus committed his Spirit into the father’s hands and just as Jesus was ready to re reunite with his
Father we need to do the same thing so my question for you on this even evening is what are you willing to commit to the Lord on this Good Friday so you can be re reunited with him will you commit your marriage will you commit your relationships will you commit your
Children will you commit your dreams will you commit your family will you commit your finances will you commit your health will you commit your future but my biggest question for you on this evening is will you commit your soul to him will you give him your all will you
Let it all go will you give it all to Jesus Jesus well you might say yes to committing these things because they are ultimately in his control but what about the things that we like to control ourselves like our lying tongue right the words that hurt others our egos our
Addictions our adulterous ways our gossiping our backbiting our bad habits our Envy our jealousness whatever is on your list what are you willing to commit on this Good Friday evening father into your hands I commit my spirit these are not only words that we say when we are facing death but let
Us pray these words whenever we are troubled whenever worry threatens threatens to consume us let us pray father into your hands I commit my spirit when we are faced with problems that defy Solutions let us say father into your hands I commit my spirit when we have doubts when the the the Shadow
Of Doubt is upon us when we don’t believe when we are tempted to wonder whether God exists and when we are going through sickness when we are going through hard times when we feel like a failure when we don’t have self-esteem when we don’t believe in ourselves let
Us say father into your hands I commit my spirit yes let us say that our suffering our pain and our Strife matter to God but if we submit our very lives to Christ he has a plan which will someday and some way glorify the father even when we suffer and face trials
Tribulations and temptations we can trust that God is carrying out a plan of Resurrection in which we will see and experience his power in a personal way I am a witness I have the testimony that he is real and he lives he lives he lives he lives because when we place
Ourselves in God’s hands he will hold us have you ever been held by Jesus he will Comfort us have you ever been comforted by Jesus he will strengthen us have you ever been strengthened by by Jesus and he will lift you up have you ever been lifted up by Jesus Hallelujah have you
Ever been lifted up by Jesus he will give you life you see the meaning of Good Friday is this where there is a cross we can anticipate that there will also be an open Tomb and a resurrection where there is Darkness we can anticipate that God will bring us light
You see Saints into his hands we will one day ultimately commit our Spirits we will one day be with him in his very presence and see him face to face but until then let us look to him and know that he is our all and all let us
Remember that with his compassion he loves us with his grace he saves us with his power he protects us with his wisdom he instructs us with his word he teaches us and with his glory he crowns us and by his Spirit he empowers us so Saints

Me and open up your heart and ask yourself this you know I’ve heard what Jesus said I heard how he took care of his mother and said mother Behold thy son I saw I heard the words of him saying it we are forgiven I heard the
Words of him saying it is finished I’ve heard the words of him saying I commit my spirit I’ve heard all of these words all of these statements but I hear him talking to me now saying come unto me all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will
Give you rest he says this emphatically he said all who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved right now while God is here why don’t you give your life to Jesus it’s very simple he said if you just confess with your mouth the Lord
Jesus Christ and believe in in your heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead he’ll save you now I’m not going to trick myself in just think because you’re in church that you’ve given your life to Jesus and you don’t have to understand everything about salvation you don’t have to understand everything
About the theological stance that Jesus made and being the hypothetic union you don’t have to understand all those things all you have to understand is this that he died for your sins that he was buried and rose again and believe in him for there’s no other name given unto
