The Impact of Phi Delta Theta Undergraduate Scholarships: Benjamin Peter, Missouri ’26
For many undergraduate members of Phi Delta Theta, scholarships provide more than just financial assistance—they create opportunities for academic achievement, leadership growth, and service to others.
Benjamin Peter, a junior at the University of Missouri, is one such scholar whose journey has been shaped by the generosity of donors.
As a double major in electrical engineering and mathematics, Benjamin maintains a rigorous academic schedule while actively contributing to the Missouri Alpha Chapter. In fall 2024, he was honored to receive the Jack S. Kitchen Scholarship, an award that has allowed him to pursue high-level research and engage more deeply with both his studies and fraternity.
“This scholarship has significantly impacted me by making it financially feasible to prioritize my academically rigorous schedule and research opportunities,” Benjamin shares. “This past year, I spent a large portion of my time to developing a research project and conference paper that was recently accepted for publication. Without funding from this scholarship, I could not have devoted as much time to this important work.”
Beyond academics, the scholarship has also enabled Benjamin to plan for graduate school and increase his involvement in Phi Delta Theta. He has played an active role in his chapter, particularly in organizing service events at a local food bank, strengthening both the Fraternity’s impact and his own leadership skills.
“I am so grateful for the opportunities this scholarship has made available to me,” he reflects. “Phi Delta Theta has been an incredible blessing in my life, and I deeply appreciate the donors who invest in our future.”
Benjamin’s story is a testament to the power of undergraduate scholarships. Your support ensures that students like him can pursue academic excellence, contribute to their communities, and lead with purpose—all while strengthening the bonds of brotherhood.
